Older Sibling Cuing Baby to Pee in Diaper

My three year old, who has found the entire transition to being a big sibling really hard, will cue the baby to pee in the diaper. She knows I don't like that. That's why she does it. I don't want the baby to learn to pee in a diaper. How do I handle this?

how old is your baby? maybe just celebrate that your baby can pee on cue. congratulate your older DD on being able to cue her and enjoy the fact of a sucessful communication. even if it feel like a step back for you, the shift in focus may help your daughter move away from that behavior.

good luck

I like PP. Find a way to put a positive spin on it. If you tell the 3 yo it is undesired, it has the chance of increasing the behavior. Maybe there is something about changing time the 3 yo likes also and so tries to facilitate it.... The baby will soon recognize what the potty feels like under them anyway.... I used to worry when someone would make a noise to stop the cat from scratching the couch because it sounds very much the same, but dd never thought it was a cue... dd1 does like cuing her once I get dd2 on the potty, we all do it at once, then cheer when she does it... not very TCC i am sure, but we enjoy it and dd2 has been more of a challenge with EC also so I try many things....
