Am I allergic to B vitamins? For years, I've only taken a multivitamin in the morning because something in it gave me nightmares. I recently added a B supplement in order to try to improve my son's tolerance to salicylates, and I am having terrible nightmares when I take the B vitamin complex (Thorne). Anyone have an idea what this might mean?

Did you remember your dreams before this, or is this the first time in a while that you remember your dreams?
How many days have you taken it? One of the B vitamins, I think B6? is involved in dream recall. Lately I've been slacking on my vits--I take 2 in the morning, but I forget later in the day, and I rarely remember my dreams. But when I remember and take one before bed, I often remember my dreams the next day.
I've read that sometimes when we first start remembering our dreams again, after a long period of not, dreams can be vivid and disturbing. When I started melatonin, and started sleeping better, I also started with some exhausting vivid dreams. They subsided within, well, it was less than week.

When I started the melatonin, it was GREAT to fall asleep, really amazing, but my dreams were so vivid and weird, I felt more exhausted when I got up than I had when I went to bed. Later in the day, the sleep I got showed itself, and it did go away, but it was weird--trading falling asleep for feeling rested? But like I said, it stopped within a week for me.
