I went with the ebay one and just got my result

Congratulations!! Its A Boy!!!

My calculation was of a 97% chance of being a baby boy!! Congratulations to you and your family!!
Will try to remember to update within the next two months when we find out.

Even though we pretty know know it's going to be a girl, I'm still tempted to try that ebay one! LOL!

MP - how did it work? Did she send a bunch of questions? Were they all Old Wives Tale related stuff? Or does she claim to use the power of intuition?

Giving the percent of gender certainty reminds me of a website where you answer questions and get a percentage. http://www.amazingpregnancy.com/oldwivestales/ It's fun to do, although I don't know if it's really that meaningful.

I'm curious what the questions are like as well.

She uses some old wives tales, some timing, some scientific, some genetic history and some other things... 20 questions in all.

It was worth the three bucks for entertainment at least.

I tried the old wives tale's link and it was totally wrong for me. It gave me a very high chance of a girl, but this is definitely a boy. To be fair, I thought this baby was a girl until the ultrasound said otherwise - this pregnancy is very different from DS1's.

We'll see if she is right for me too. I find out April 7th.

Questions were about birth dates of mother/father, genders of your parents kids, when you had sex compared to ovulation, blood type, when are you nauseated, type of underwear DH wears .. etc....

keep us posted, ladies I'm wondering about it myself - just for kicks

Okay, I did the ebay one as well. We conceived six days after dtd, which leads dh and I to think we're having a girl, yet the ebay lady is predicting boy. It's strange. I'm of course not putting much stock in her prediction, especially with some of the funky questions she asked, but now I'm less sure than before about what we're having. We'll find out in Oct.

Lots of studies show that that timing... has NOTHING to do with gender and you still have the same chance. But you will see I guess huh?

I've heard timing can make a difference but it will only tip your chances 5% at most. So if that is correct, you'd have a 55% chance of a girl and a 45% chance of a boy. Still pretty big boy odds, and I'm pretty sure the 5% is quite a high estimate. With that said, the 'timing' thing has been correct for me 2 out of 2 pregnancies.

Ahh, thanks for the info. The chapter in Taking Charge of Your Fertility made it sound like it would sway the odds much more than that. Either way, this is one sneaky little bugger!

She gave me a 97% of having another girl... I'd be really happy either way but I think a girl would be awesome. My youngest would have a baby sister, it would be fun.

She got hers right...

has anyone else done this/found out?

Im going in on Monday and we will schedule my ultrasound then so likely to know within the next two weeks if she is right about it being a boy for me!

I don't know if I'd trust anyone to predict anything via email. I had an internet psychic give me totally bogus info. It wasn't expensive, but I feel like she just picked her answers out of a hat.

Great username, btw...

I've never done the ebay thing but i did ask Jamie in the "Ask an Intuitive" forum and was told that she felt I am having a boy. We have our ultrasound May 17th so we shall see

I did the ebay thing too, but we won't know until January... "Congratulations!! Its A Girl!!!

My calculation was of a 97% chance of being a baby girl!! Congratulations to you and your family!!!"

That would be so awesome if I had another girl, I would be fine with either though.

The eBay lady does it for $3? I'll do it for $2!

Just answer the following questions...

1. In what city were you born?

2. Do you prefer chocolate or vanilla ice cream? (I'll tell ya right now...if you said pistachio, it's twins.)

3. The Twilight books... literary masterpieces or overhyped drivel?

4. Which annoys you the most? Your partner's snoring or your partner's breathing?

5. What do you want to hear? Boy or Girl?

My qualifications are extensive. It is not unusual for me to be able to guess who's calling when the phone rings. I used to read Jeane Dixon's predictions about what would happen with various celebrities.

I employ rigorous scientific experiments. If I am eating chocolate when I receive your request, you are having a girl. If I am eating dill pickles, it's a boy.

Just send me your money and I'll tell you what you're having!

Oooh, oooh.
Havre, PISTACIO! (actually cherry, but of the three p. is better), blah! I refuse to waste my time on that drivel, right now his breathing.... as in just him being here annoys me, GIRL GIRL!! Check is in the mail!

Where is Ananas when we need her??
