Ligament pain or more worrisome?

I'm 37 weeks and yesterday i had what I thought might have been ligament pain. I had been cleaning, and I was suddenly crippled over with sharp and hot pains on the lower left side of my abdomen. It continued for a good hour before calming down.

Today, the area still aches. I'm taking it easy, though, and that seems to help a bit. But the area is still tender and achey - but not the scary crazy pain it was yesterday.

Does this sound like ligament pain? I've never had it before so I'm not sure. My other two concerns were if it was related to my c-section scar somehow or if it was placental abruption. I have a low lying anterior placenta and PIH... so I know with that placenta being on scar tissue and my high blood pressure I am at higher risk for abrutption.

I've had no bleeding, though, and the baby has passed kick counts.

Any opinions or experiences with this?

My experience with ligament pain doesn't match your description here, but your description matches beautifully with my experience of pulled muscles.

I would think that abruption would involve bleeding, but I don't know for sure. It's definitely worth a call to the doctor or midwife.
