Providence -- the Bainbridge School. Does it exist?

Hello,

We're looking for daycare/preschool for our two-year-old. I keep hearing mention of the Bainbridge School on the West Side. But no amount of Googling has turned up a website, phone number, or e-mail. And no one who has mentioned the school to me knows the contact information either (it's always a friend of friend who sent their kid there, but everyone always seems to have a positive association with it). Does anyone know if the school actually exists? And if it does exist, does anyone have any experience sending their kids there? Many thanks!

Okay, two thoughts. There is a school on Bainbridge Street, but I don't think it's a preschool.

I'm guessing that what people are talking about is a home daycare run by a woman named Kate(?), that was on Bainbridge. I *think* I heard that she moved to the East Side (maybe better for you anyway?), but I'm not sure. My good friend used to be her downstairs tenant, and I actually emailed her awhile ago about daycare, but then never followed through. I'll see if I can find her info and PM you.

This will not really help you but as of last fall I knew two people who were currently sending their children there so it does exist in some form. Both refered to it as the Bainbridge School not as a home daycare but who knows?
I know these people from the playground so again can't help you!
It sounds like they need a web site!
Have you checked kiddoinfo? Maybe there's something there.

It does exist. I have information if you PM me. It is essentially registered as a home daycare on Bainbridge Ave, Providence, that's why there is not much info. Total school size is 8 kids, ages 2-4, Montessori based, very good quality. I have visited the place, and know a couple people who attend there, everybody is very happy. It did not end up working for us, but I think it is a good program.
