Trouble/pain with eating

I am at a loss and my doc is on vacation with crappy back-up for another week. I am going through a lot of stress right now, which I HOPE is the cause, but not convinced since the stress isn't new. I'm back in college a bit more than full time, I'm working as part of that schooling in a nursing home on a dementia floor (something that is very mentally taxing) and I have preschoolers and a preteen

I am NEVER hungry these days. I have to force myself to eat and when I do I am instantly bloated and hurt for hours afterwards gas wise. I am vegan, eat pretty well, and have never had issues like this before. Hope not too much info but stools are normal, urin output is normal, no new meds. Any advice or thoughts? This is getting old and I'm having a hard time with energy as a result of the little food.

Today, for instance, I had some homemade bread this morning (the only thing that appealed) and since then I've had a cup of soy yogurt with blueberries. And I'm not in the least bit hungry right now.

I had a period when my stomach was hurting with meals. It was an increase in stress for me--things had been darned stressful for quite a while, it just got the point where I was more rundown.

Fermented veggies with my meals helped, creating a really pleasant eating environment helped, not hurrying through my meals helped.

When I was really rundown, meat really helped me, but I can see not wanting to make that change.

My daughter gets stomach aches, I am using TCM approaches to deal with it. It's early days, she's had a couple acupuncture visits and I hope/expect to see improvement after a few more, and I'm trying to incorporate foods that are easy to digest, in a TCM sense, and avoid others that are supposed to be difficult to digest, according to TCM. Easy: congee, soups. Difficult: raw veggies, dairy (though we're already dairy-free), cold drinks, fried foods, excess sugar.

We'll see where it gets DD in a couple months.

Stress ALWAYS kills my appetite. I went for about a 3 month period of insane stress and no appetite. Unfortunately I crashed my metabolism and that added on to not feeling well. Try and eat small snacks throughout the day.
Hope you feel better soon!
