relationship support

Thread Starter
I recently reconnected with an old friend and feel great potential for our relationship. Right now we are both working through divorces and all the residual external and emotional complications. My question is how can I best support both of us - him in his emotional work and me in not getting attached to possible future outcomes yet holding a space for the possibility of "us".
Thank you!

I am so sorry for the delay. I have truly been trying my hardest to catch up. I am only really feeling better today..after a whole week. Thank you for your patience.

Really great question btw! This is just the kind of question I like working with.

I want to let you know that time is going to be the biggest factor here. That is what is going to help both of you the most. So what you are doing by just "holding space" is perfect. I think in general you both are going to be really great supports for each other through all of this. I feel like you are being brought together for that very reason. That is really a blessing.
And remember, time is the most important aspect. You both need it.

Thank you for your question.
