Questions about gluten intolerance - xposted in health and healing

I've been working with a Naturopath for about five months trying to heal my low thyroid and adrenal fatigue.
Come to find out, I'm not absorbing the supplements or many of the nutrients in my food even though I follow a nutrient dense diet, therefore my conditions are not improving.
She's treating me now for possible H. Pylori.
She didn't mention this but I'm wondering about a possible gluten intolerance because doesn't that cause malabsorption?
I was really sick with my pregnancy last year (REALLY sick) and I remember a friend telling me that she was sick with hers too until they discovered she was gluten intolerant.
For those of you who are familiar with this, what you think?
Basically my symptoms are fatigue, water retention, inability to lose weight ( though I've always been more on the underweight side before pg.)
headaches, eczema, hair falling out, going gray, achy joints, blurred vision, and tired tired tired! I've also always had severe menstrual cramps.
I've just attributed these to thyroid and adrenals, but since I'm not responsing to treatment, I'm starting to wonder.
Suggestions and experiences needed, I need HELP!
TIA!

Have you tried treating your thyroid with western medicine? Just curious.

I'm actually starting armour this weekend as well as low dose cortisol for the adrenal fatigue.
are those the lines you're thinking along?

I went to a natural wellness clinic recently and got a bunch of testing done trying to figure out what was causing all my symptoms (many similar to yours, but major one was depression). It was a saliva test that I did 4 samples. I found out that I am gluten intolerant through that test. Maybe something for you to look into....I found it very non-invasive. I have seen much improvement since going gluten free a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I was curious what you had done for the thyroid. Most of your symptoms sound like low thyroid to me. It seems that some people really need a more traditional thyroid medication to get back to a normal range.
I also did the saliva test that the PP mentioned. My cortisol is actually really high though, so we're going a different route with the adrenals. I just started a GF diet 5 days ago b/c my gliadin antibody level was borderline. I have not noticed any improvement yet.

What shows up on the saliva test that tells you you're gluten intolerant?
I've had a saliva test to test my adrenals, is that the same thing?
I almost want to be gluten intolerant because then at I'll know what to do to get better!
