Any co-op kindergartens/homeschoolers in st peteresburg,fl/pinellas?

Hello!

We are thinking about homeschooling our daughter as she approaches kindy, but I am very overwhelmed at doing it all by myself. Are there any other mama's/families out there that are doing this? any co ops? we are thinking about doing a waldorf inspired home school.

We unschool in Clearwater but aren't doing any coops currently. However I am on a yahoo group for holistic homeschoolers of Tampa Bay and we do park meetups and outings with others.

DD is five (6 in September). Maybe we could get together at a park, or do a Busch Gardens trip (we just got year passes), or maybe Great Explorations which I'm thinking about getting a membership to and might be more in your neck of the woods! Are you on Facebook?

Although we unschool, I am a fan of Waldorf and get a lot of inspiration from the Waldorf forum for arts/crafts stuff!

yep, I am on facebook. I will message you with my details ( I get weirded out sometime posting personal info on boards).

I would love to get together! My daughter LOVES great explorations.

I haven't read anything on unschooling, but it is something that I am not opposed to and always seeing and hearing a first hand account of it is great.

We're moving to somewhere on Pinellas between St. Pete and Palm Harbor and are thrilled at the amount of homeschooling/unschooling groups that exist there! Such a great place it seems!
