Ok, tell me what I should be taking? (nursing and TTC after 2 losses)

So 2 losses later, I REALLY want to be pregnant and actually stay pregnant. It took 6 months of TTC (well, I didn't tell DH exactly when I Oed, but we had great timing) before getting a sticky bean in Dec. Well, the baby passed most likely due to chromosomal issues (first loss was due to LPD due to nursing).

Anyway, I am on CD3 of first cycle after the m/c - I ovulated 17 days after passing the placenta, and had a dismal 8 day LP. I'm going off of caffeine again, but should I take B6 again? I took it from O on with the baby in Dec and had also cut out caffeine that month too.

Not a huge fan of having a New Year'sish baby, but honestly, at this point, if we get pregnant this month, I would be so danged happy, I'd probably cry (and really, I am not a crier!).

So any words of wisdom? Should I just hope my LP just naturally lengthens? DD is still nursing and LP was 11-12 days when we conceived last time. She's now almost 21m but nurses a lot still (about every 2-4 hours and a lot at night too).

b-6 is definitely reasonable- i hear you are supposed to take it with a b-complex, and i think a pnv covers that. you probably know recommended dose of b-6 is 50-200 mg/day. if that doesnt work, you might want to talk to your doc about progesterone.

I have progesterone leftover (was on vag supps with the last bean) so I could take that in the LP this time, good idea. I probably only have enough for 1 cycle (I think I have like 2 weeks worth?) Should I take it from O on or BFP *crosses fingers* on?

Also, B6 - should I start taking that now or will it delay my O?

B6 shouldn't delay O, or not that I've known anyways. I have always taken it when nursing to help with a super short lp. It might not work right away, I take mine with a prenatal that also have lots of b complex vitaminns in it. I was taking 200mg a day but now I'm taking 100mg for no reason other than all the pills I was taking was making me gag. yuck.

Make sure you take a a nice prenatal or multi.

I'm also taking maca, which I like, my cycles have regulated from the ridiculously chaotic cycles I had prior to my loss (I'm still nursing #2 as well but just a few times a day/night). I have clear thermal shifts and definate ovulation.

to you and I'm so sorry for your loss.

medical stuff you definitely need to talk to your hcp about, but if you need progesterone for a luteal phase defect, you wont get a bfp unless you take it from around the time of o! you would get af before you could show a bfp!

Yeah, I had teh 11-12 day LP without the progesteroe before - I started the prog. just in case after I got the BFP. But now it looks like I actually do have an LPD again, though it could be just because it was the first egg after the m/c too. RIght now, we just moved, (the weekend I had the m/c actually) so I don't have an OB here yet.

Michelle - good to know about the B6 - I was taking 50mg in the morning, 50mg at night before, with a prenatal, so I'll start that now and see how things go. (((hugs))) to you, hopefully we will be in a DDC together again and stay in it! (it looks like we are leading parallel lives lately...)
