Home birth in southeastern WI

Can anyone tell me specifics on home birthing in WI? Who is attending? Does insurance cover anything (prenatal care, etc.)? If you've had a home birth there, can you recc your midwife? Politics in event of transfer?

This will be my second home birth but the first was out of state.

I just had my first homebirth in SE WI. Fun to find someone else in the area.

I had a midwife (actually 2) attend my birth. My insurance didn't cover anything But, both of the midwives I talked to have a sliding scale fee. I will PM you for more info.

Good news is, there are a few doctors in the area that are supportive of homebirth - so in the event of a transfer, you won't necessarily be ostricisized.
