*No Stressers/No Obsessers - April 2010! *

Welcome into Spring (at least in this hemisphere) Ladies!! As I watch the birthing of the flowers, and birds I feel energized with new life. It is hard to ignore the beautiful changes our world is making, while we make ours. I am focusing on new life, new light, and longer days this month.

This is a place where we come together for strength and sharing wisdom on how to be more stress-free during our trying to conceive journeys. We may still test, just not ridiculously early, if we can help it. You'll find people encouraging you to hold off when you are feeling weak. Share tips and tricks, and words of wisdom on how to enjoy our time making a baby as much as we can!

Anyone is free to join!
Please BOLD new member info, changes in cycle, Big Fat Positives, adding charts etc, and if I miss it, direct message me. Thanks!

Weekend Check-In... well, i'm late, check-out, i guess

Name: karmab
Date: 3-28
Where are you in your cycle: 9 dpo
Symptoms if they apply: some crampy/backachey stuff, but i am on progesterone, so it's hard to call it anything. oh, and if i squeeze my boobs really really hard, they hurt. does that count?

When are you thinking of testing: tried yesterday, only because i had the house all to myself, dh wasn't coming home till 7:30, so i woke up at 6:30 and peed in a little disposible dixie cup, the little kind for the bathroom, and i casually got out my ic, and i dipped it and i laid the strip on top of the cup of pee on the counter. 1 min passes. all of a sudden, i hear dh pulling into the driveway an hour early. eeeek! i dont want him to catch me testing till i know its +, so i go to dump out the pee and i was going to put the test somewhere inconspicuous like in my closet for the 4 mins. i fumble the cup, the ic strip falls into the pee, and then the pee spills all over the bathroom counter. soggy ic, pee everywhere, dh walking in the door. aaahh, that's what i get for trying to test early.

Thoughts: none! (sound of crickets)

Appointments: ditto!

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: no
Do you have any stress triggers: not really

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: im not sure why i am feeling so zen.
Partners feelings if applicable: he's a good egg.
Plans for this weekend: we had a big weekend- lots of fun!

Can I join?

Name: Pirogi

Bio: My DH and I will probably start TTC this month or next, depending on how we feel. I am in the process of trying to get out of the military and transition to SAHM-hood. We are 30-something and have one DD, 2 years old. We are also in the process of moving and renovating our new (1950) house.

Chart: Can't remember my FF login info. I will try to figure it out and post later. I am on day 7 of this cycle.

Monday Monday Monday!!

A little late...it was a busy weekend..but here it is:

Weekend Check-In

Name: Heather
Date: 03.29.2010
Where are you in your cycle: cd8
Symptoms if they apply: none
When are you thinking of testing: maybe never?
Thoughts: i've been letting the green eyed jealousy monster get the better of me, i'm afraid. it seems as if there is a serious epidemic of pregnancy going on all around me. it just makes me a little sad that the epidemic hasn't reached many of us on this thead, yet. Hopefully, we'll all get ours soon enough.
Appointments: none this week
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: nothing new
Do you have any stress triggers: other than the green eyed monster, not much. this is going to be a good week.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: walking at lunch with a friend of mine.
Partners feelings if applicable: he's always the same. very supportive.
Plans for this week: get ready for easter. we're hosting dinner for our families.

Have a great week, everyone!

Pirogi - Welcome!!

Heather - Same here hun, same here. Hopefully the bfp fairy will bless our thread soon!

AFM
- I'm not sure what to do ladies. I've been taking antibiotics now for 3 days, I have a week or so left if this round gets rid of all my sinus pain BUT the effects of the antibiotics are masking my fertility signs! I've gotten ewcm ever since I started (although I've been marking sticky b/c I know its not true ew) and my temps have shot up to post O since I started them as well. I've been taking opk's since the ewcm started and nothing, I even took an IC just in case I was preggers and got my period anyways, and nada. SOoooo, do I just call this cycle a wash? Or should I still try to temp and hope that some pattern can be seen?

Welcome! I'll get you up tomorrow, busy 9hr day, plus 3 hour postpartum visit.

If you are worried about being a green eyed monster, work two jobs, one including birth & newborns and one including 3 kids. Make you filled with joy, and tired.

If I normally have a 10 day luteal phase, would testing on 11 or 12 dpo be considered early testing? Or should I hold out till 14dpo?

Name: Mother Cake

Bio: DH & are are planning to start TTC our first next cycle unless more $%&# hits the fan between now and then. We were planning to start in March, but I had to have my wisdom teeth out b/c of an infection, which pushed everything back, and some of the other stuff I want to finish first is taking longer than I planned it to. We are newly married (together a couple of years firts), I've always wanted to be a SAHM--currently a SAHW. Worked as a nanny, Postpartum Doula, Birth Doula, etc for a few years before getting married. Will probably lurk a lot until we actually start TTC.

Chart: I chart on paper, but I'm going to try Fertility Friend. If I like it, I'll post a link here.

Hmmm ... good question. Maybe someone else will have more info. I would think that even though you would have already missed your period, the implanted egg is still only 10 days past the time it came from your ovary, so it would still only be producing the hormones normal for that level of development. It may be too early for a HPT to detect the hCG. Then again, your test might be sensitive, or your wee one may have implanted early enough to be producing enough hCG to be detected. With my first, I had a BFP at 10 DPO.

If you can, I'd wait till 14dpo so that you can get a clear result. You could test at 11 or 12 but you may be squinting for a line rather than waiting a few more days and having a bold result

: You are right, that is what I should have done. and what I would have done .... except dh needs to make some travel plans and I wanted to let him know whether I needed him to be present for the next window or not.

Unfortunately, no clear answer. No , temp still above line ... but no BFP either. I have no camera to share the pic with you .... but I suspect some of you might have been able to see a line. I would prefer to have a clear line, as I did with my last two pgs. Right now in fact there is a clear line but that must be evap.

I guess I'll try again in a few days if no af. I am going to be optimistic and ask him to go ahead and attend the conference. It only means missing one month ...

Meanwhile I will worry about WHAT DOES IT MEAN ... if I AM pg and got only a faint line at 13dpo does that mean there is something WRONG .... oh please no not again. :cry

then again one can hope the O date was off and I am not 13 dpo. Though the chart is pretty clear, as far as I can tell.

I'd rather have than all this uncertainty.
Precisely why I should NOT TEST EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shy...you're stressin an obsessin! Knock it off!

Happy Friday! I'm so ready for this weekend to begin. Looking forward to summer-like weather and seeing friends and family. Life is good.

Weekend Check-In

Name: Heather
Date: 04.02.2010
Where are you in your cycle: cd12
Symptoms if they apply: none

Thoughts: keeping my thoughts positive. focusing on friends and family.
Appointments: none in the upcoming week.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: nothing new.
Do you have any stress triggers: facebook! I need to stop looking at it so much.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: still walking with my friend at lunch. it's nice to have someone to vent to about the daily schtuff we deal with at work.
Partners feelings if applicable: he's always the same. very supportive.
Plans for this week: try not to eat all of my kiddo's easter candy!
Name: MoOnFiReGlOw
Date: 04.02.2010
Where are you in your cycle: cd15

Symptoms if they apply: none

When are you thinking of testing: Not any time soon! If it turns out I did O today, I'll wait till 14dpo. I don't have any tests in the house!!

Thoughts: I'm a bit curious...I started taking my antibiotics a little over a week ago and my temps evened out...A LOT...a dip today and now this afternoon my temps are post O temps, SOOOOO I'm wondering if the impossible has happened and I've O'd at a normal time? I would have 1 bd that would be 2.5 or so days before O and possibly today if dh is feeling ok, but that isn't very likely (he re-injured himself). If I did O, why would the antibiotics have such a big effect? I mean if I did O, that would be a week sooner than my average and 4 days sooner than my earliest ever O. I guess only time will tell...and maybe the swimmers lasted...

Appointments: none, although I need to schedule my yearly here soon...

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Got rid of the maca b/c I felt sick and for some reason when I'm sick I refuse to take anything. Only thing I've had are antibiotics.

Do you have any stress triggers: School and my dh's back!! Its getting better though

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Knowing I only have a few more weeks of school left and knitting!

Partners feelings if applicable: He's tired and feels like he's letting me down b/c we can't bd like we need to.

Plans for this week: Nada
