Pediatrician in Northampton? (selective/delayed vac schedule)?

Hi, My partner and I are queer parents that are having our first baby in a couple of weeks. We are looking for recommendations for pediatricians that practice alternative medicine and also are okay with selective/delayed vac (or perhaps no)schedule. Any thoughts?

Welcome! Come join us over on the queer parenting forum!

I don't know, I haven't gotten that far yet. If you know a midwife locally, she would have some recommendations...

Yeah, no ideas, but there are several Western Mass families who regularly hang out in the queer parenting forum. You want to come and say hi-

And congrats on the new baby!

david slack

Hi - I have 3 that have not had any vaccinations and we use David Slack of Valley Medical Group in Easthampton. He is not familiar with alternative medicine but his partner at the office is if you have questions. Dr Slack has never given us any hassle about not vaccinating and is a great dr - very relaxed and easy and personable. We love him. His partner at the office, although he is very familiar with lots of alternative medicine and will recommend them, does not have a great bedside manner and is ironically always asking us when we are going to vaccinate. Anyway, i would recommend Dr Slack 100%

We lived in Amherst when our son was born and we saw Dr. Wong at Amherst Pediatrics. She was very supportive of alternative/selective/delayed vax schedules and was overall an awesome pediatrician. We also loved that they were open 7 days a week and had a nurse call line 24 hours a day. Everyone there was great...miss them terribly now!!

We also go there, and have seen all the docs between the 3 kids. All are supportive of our no vax decision. I especially like Dr. Steve Hickman
