Amber teething necklace on ankle?

Title pretty much says it all. I want to leave the necklace on all the time, but don't feel comfortable putting it around his neck because he is really chunky and doesn't really have a neck

Is this as effective when put around the ankle or is there something special about it bein around the neck?

From what I read at the store where I bought DS's amber necklace, the amber needs to be near the source of the pain. Some people wear amber around their waists for back aches. Around the ankle may help with arthritis or something, but not with teething!

We have started putting a hazelwood necklace on DD's ankle. It helps with teething and reflux/gastro issues (as well a few more things!). The website suggests putting it on the baby's ankle at night. DD is only 3 months old and still isn't really steady holding her head up so we aren't comfy putting it around her neck at all yet. I read that as long as it is touching their skin it can have positive effects.

I always switched dd's necklace from her neck to her ankle at night. Don't know if it's as effective but I felt better about it than neck at night.

Thanks!
It does look cute no matter where you put it. I will stick to the ankle for now so it doesn't get caught in his neck folds and pull his tender skin.
