I am having an issue with my fat DD's diaper covers sagging in the back because it seems they can't stay above her thighs, and I really don't know how anything can resolve it. I posted about it on diapersewingdivas and got some responses about some 4 sale patterns, mostly the fatty cakes pattern. I am not really a seamtress at all, so maybe this is a stupid question but how can there be so many patterns?? What makes one of the 4 sale patterns better than a RRP or something else that is free? What is so special about the cut of the fatty cake that makes it so good for fat babies? Higher in the back, scooped under belly perhaps? Narrower crouch? Couldn't I get the best fit by using my baby as the pattern?
