Bum Genius 3.0 o/s

I got one as a baby gift. I usually use fitteds with doublers and covers, but this looked so kushy and soft and absorbent, so I stuffed it with the one insert and I put the extra one on top to use as a night diaper last night

Well at 3 AM, I woke up in a little puddle of pee. I washed it once, but should it become more absorbent with extra washing? Is it maybe too big for her? It was on it;s smallest setting- my baby is 5 months, 14 pounds and 26"- so Long and skinny.

Anything I can do to make it work for us? It's a lovely diaper and I'd like to get lots of use out of it.

i you may not have it adjusted right. also , did you have the doubler on top of the fleece, or stuffed inside? you dont want that microfiber next to your lo's skin, its abrasive. try it again during the day and see how it works!

i just laid it in the diaper. thanks for the heads up- that makes total sense- poor girl has a nasty, scabby looking rash.

i did the same thing with dd1 because at first touch it feels soft. i remember reading somewhere you weren't spossed to do that and thinking "doh!".
