Organic Cloth Diapers

Does anyone know of a brand that makes organic cloth diapers?

I don't know much about cloth diapers yet...I'm just learning the basics now before my first baby arrives in July, so forgive me if this is an obvious question.

I like these 2 brands: http://fuzzibunz.com/ and http://www.rumparooz.com/ They seem easy to use - no covers necessary and have gussets and elastic like a disposable diaper.

But are there any brands that combine the easy-to-use design while using organic cloth? I'd prefer if the cloth weren't treated with anything but was still conveniently shaped like a disposable diaper.

I have to suggest Green Mountain Diapers again. They have some organic fitted dipes that are wonderful. (You will still need a cover for a waterproof system)

more options here:

there is no benefit to the BABY from organic dipes ... any pesticide residue would wash out in processing or prep. though there is benefit to the farm workers.

Actually, I don't believe there's any real way to know what sort of residues may be in the fiber. You can't remove all the residue from your food, since it absorbs it while it's growing - there's no reason to believe that a porous substance like cotton would be any different.

As for the original question, there are literally dozens of brands out there that use organic fabric to make dipes. Most of them are fitteds instead of AIOs, though. I have probably close to a dozen different brands in my stash. Right now the bulk of my stash is Dream-Eze, which I love. I didn't restrict myself to cotton though - I have a good amount of hemp (which doesn't require the use of pesticides) and some bamboo also. Many WAHM diaper-makers use organic fabrics, it really depends on what you're looking for... I went for organic fibers, fitteds with wool, and snaps. I found well over a dozen brands to try that meet those criteria, and I've tried quite a few of them. I bought most of my stash used off diaperswappers, which has been great for trying different dipes.

i was going to suggest dream eze. don't let the side snap system intimidate you, its not as hard to pick up as it looks. otherwise, a fitted and cover is the way to go! we love our fitteds with wool.

Dream eze had sized fitted diapers that are organic. Tiny Tush makes some one size fitted diapers that are available in organic cotton too.

One thing to keep in mind while shopping is that "organic" is a total buzzword right now. You'll see things like "Organic bamboo velour", which - to me at least - sounds like "fiber made from organic bamboo", when the reality is more like "fiber made from organic bamboo that was super-heavily processed and then also blended with some conventional fiber".

Diapers that are 100% organic cotton are a good bet for living up to what you're envisioning, as is hemp.
