I'm spring cleaning and just found 8 of them in a cupboard.

It is. I called and the voluntary exchange ended in December. They're offering a 20% discount though. As if. I just threw out the really dinged up ones, but kept a few that are in good enough condition. They just cost so much that I hate to throw them out. I sure as heck won't be buying any more though.

After all their claims of being BPA free, it turns out it wasn't true.

I have 5 of them, I called it a loss, since you were not guarenteed to get the same ones. I ordered ones from Klean Kanteen, I've never looked back..they are SO much nicer

Wait, weren't SIGG bottles metal?

I thought just plastic leached chemicals, and that glass and steel were safe!
Am I wrong?

SIGG bottles are made from aluminum, and they had a "reaction proof" liner that was supposed to be BPA free. To be honest, I got the SIGG bottles because they were pretty and on the recommendations of a lot of people here on MDC, they were nicer than most other bottles. I like my Klean Kanteen, they are SS so no leeching ANYTHING.
