Apprentice Doulas in Boston area?

Hello:

I posted a while back about doulas in the Boston area. While all of the referrals I received sounded fantastic (thank you all!), the bottom line is that I cannot afford the fee (though I have no doubt that the price is absolutely worth it!).

So, I was wondering if there are any apprentice doulas in the Boston area who might be looking for clients/births to attend to finish up their certification (and therefore not charging the full/regular fee). Might be a long shot, but I figured I'd ask!

FYI, I am currently 33wks along with my 4th, don't *expect* any complications (no history of them), looking for labor support.

I know someone who is looking to fulfill her requirements but she is on the South Shore... I'm not sure how far she will go. Are you still in Cambridge (as per your profile?)

I'm sorry for not having responded sooner. I did in fact find someone (recommended by a couple mamas here, thank you!) and hope to be birthing with her soon
