Mamas!
This message is for all you ladies that have been so supportive and helpful when talking about your own experiences. This is my first post, I'm a lurker and have been for awhile. I've got babies on the brain so I've been doing some research on the topic. I like to know what I'm getting myself into
One thing I decided I was against was circumcision. It seemed like a raw deal for guys before I did the research and now...its just maddening that it's mainstream. My hubby is circumcised and when I brought up the topic that I didn't want to mutilate my childs penis if we were to be blessed with a boy, my hubby was resistant. Now after reading all of your posts on the topic and hearing the replies that your husbands had said ect I knew what to expect and how to answer. I could have easily taken the "Over my dead body approach" but my hubby is a rebel and he would have made it his mission to try and talk me into it. Is it considered manipulation when you know how your hubby works and use it to your advantage?
He did the research and quickly realized that he didn't want that for his boy and was a little annoyed t happened to him! I'm so so so glad that this community is available b/c this is something I wouldn't have given a second thought to b/c it's so mainstream. You stories have inspired me to speak up for what I believe in and question everything.
