so I am on CD 34 now and am pretty sure I'm pregnant. Only problem is the seven HPT's I've taken this month say otherwise. In Dec I had AF on the 25th, in Jan 23rd, Feb 22nd. So I consider myself regular. I can't figure it out. Why else would I have missed AF? Has this happened to you? If so, how long before you got your BFP? I had an ectopic years ago and I was thinking maybe that's why my hcg isn't showing up? I'm frustrated!

Are you charting? Are you sure you ovulated this cycle? How many DPO are you? All of those answers might give clues....So not sure what to tell you. I suppose it's possible you had an anov cycle or O was delayed for some reason. Or maybe the BFP is just taking it's sweet time.
I'm still TTC this cycle, but with DD I finally got a BFP about 16 DPO. Sorry I can't be more help!

no I am not charting. how long in your cycle was that? I can usually feel ovulation though. I remember feeling ovary cramps. I think around the tenth or eleventh of march. I get up at 4am for work and I don't think I could handle one more responsibility at that hour. Although I guess a chart to refer to would be nice right now. I don't know how to read one though, so maybe not. I can't even read a map. lol!

I called my dr office this morning asking them to order a blood test. The nurse said I should come do a urine test. I told her I had already done that several times and going there to do that wasn't helpfull. She said take another one and if negative take another in a week. Lots of help! So I took another dollar tree test, my seventh one, BFN! Big surprise! Maybe I should go get a FRER? Are they more sensitive than a dollar tree test? I'm already a week past my missed period. It shouldn't matter right?

hmmm ... by my count you're only 4-5 days late? As I understand, it can take longer on some of the hpts. Since you have not gotten even one bfp i guess it is probably not a chemical pg. that was my first thought, thinking from experience. Though I also did not get a bfp, the unusual lateness, other symptoms, charting and finally the heaviness of AF (8 days late) led me to conclude that that is what happened. Psychologically I think it is easier to deal with late AF than chem pg, though knowing how common they are (largely undetected before hpts became so cheap) can soften the blow to some extent.
Not to add another thing to worry about.
. This is probably not what is happening anyway. Wait another week and test again?? So easy for the nurse to say! If only we could ...
hope things become clear soon.

I'd love to know what you end up finding out. I'm in the same place as you - I've been pretty regular the last 6 months and now all of a sudden I'm on CD45 with no AF in sight and 3 BFNs (all $tree).
According to my math, if I'm preg, I must be around 25DPO (we only DTD one time anywhere near O and he WD) so I'm really thinking that I must have either not O'd at all this month, or stress delayed it. It is def really annoying not knowing. If much more time goes by without AF or a BFP, I suppose I should call the dr and see what she says.
My understanding is that $Tree tests are just as sensitive as FRER, but someone please let me know if that's not right. (I have a couple FRER stashed away!)

I almost ALWAYS have regular cycles... but two years ago I randomly (without a sickness or a huge amount of stress) had a cycle that was two weeks longer than usual... I had no chance of pregnancy or anything (DF and I live very far apart most of the year) but still I tested just to be sure all of my previous 5 periods weren't just pregnancy bleeding lol... I felt silly after getting the obvious negative...
Sometimes perfectly healthy women can have that happen... an anovulatory (no ovulation) cycle or delayed ovulation for seemingly no reason at all...
Since you aren't charting, that is unfortunately going to be the #1 likely cause.
Dollar tree tests are considered to be quite sensitive, some ladies get a bfp on them before even a FRER shows up...
That is to say... you could be pregnant, but if you are... its not likely as far after ovulation/conception/implantation as it would be for a month when it happened at its regular time... and could still take you a while to get a bfp. However, pregnancy... at this point... is not likely the cause of your missing AF just yet.

Here's hoping! I always feel so deflated by 12dpo with bfns. But it's nice to see there are ladies who don't get theirs at 8dpo like it seems everyone is doing when I'm in the tww. Good luck tomorrow!

well turns out I was just randomly 11 days late for AF. My first mo of TTC has already been a rollercoaster ride. Can't wait for this next cycle. gave my last HPT to a girlfriend who is 2 weeks late and still hasn't tested. I guess not everybody is as obsessive as me? Maybe she will have the BFP!
