how do you find out what you were vaccinated against?

I didnt go to a regular doc during my childhood so there is no chance of having records and I know my dad doesnt have anything and the last time I got any immunizations was in the military and that was over 10yrs ago and I dont even know what they gave us. The reason I am asking is because I am thinking of taking phlebotomy as a trade so I can work soon after in that field and they want immunization records for the college and its required. I dont have any and I wont be successful in finding any either. mine were never up to date and some of them I never even had. So what would I do? I dont want to get a bunch of them again or at all really so what would be the best plan of action for this. I really need to do this so even though I dont vaccinate my kids I dont really have a problem having boosters or whatever for myself I just dont have any idea which one I would need. If you have any clue about this I would really appreciate it. TIA

You would need a blood test to check titers (pronounced with a long I). A titer will tell you what level of immunity you have to a particular disease. When your titer falls below a certain range, is when a booster shot is needed to bring it back up. I would definitely check on those before getting any shots. If it has been 10 years since your last shots, most likely you would be asked to get a tetanus booster and possibly Pertussis.

There is a chance they may be in your school records.

The military would have a record of all the vaccines you were given. How accurate it is might be questioned but it should be in your record. You could write them and obtain your complete records.

I missed that you were in the military. The military gives you everything you would have had in school+. When you separated, your medical records went into storage; presumably in the geographic area you separated from as listed on your DD 214. You can write and request a copy of your records.
