Seabands

This evening I went out and bought some seabands to help with the morning sickness. I'm cautiously optismistic that they could be working (because nothing else ever has). Now I need to know, do I just leave them on all the time? Take them off overnight? I'll probably take them off when I shower because it said to only get them wet up to 5 times, though I can't figure how that would really change them. Any experience anybody?

I wore them any time I drove/rode in a car. I also put them on when feeling nauseous. So pretty much any time I was awake! I did find that they sometimes got uncomfortable so I'd take them off.

It was trial and error for me, you'll probably find what works for you.

i haven't tried them yet, but i'm definitely interested in hearing your/others' experiences!

I had to wear them pretty much 24/7, I took them off for showers only. I still felt sick, so sick that I thought they weren't working. I took them off for about 6 hours and puked every single thing I ate for 24 hours after. They we're working alright! I hope they work for you!

They worked for me! I was only nauseous in the evening so put them on about 3pm every day and took them off when went to bed. It meant I could cook and eat dinner again! Hooray!

If you are nauseous overnight then leave em on

I only used them for driving as they didn't fit that well onto my wrists. Other times I would just use my fingers to find the pressure point.

I didn't have a lot of luck with them, but i also had extreme nausea for months and months, so not much at all helped me. I did find that going and getting acupuncture at those points helped more than just the acupressure of the bands, so if you are really suffering, consider acupuncture.

I don't know if theyworked or not but I never threw up when they were on! Still had nauseous episodes tho.

They didn't work at all for me. Plus, I once left them on overnight (hoping they would start working) and they pressed on a nerve in my wrist and left me both sore and totally numb. I couldn't move my fingers well for at least 8 hours after I took them off.

I put them on as soon as I get up in the morning, take them off for showers and take them off right before I go to bed at night. It does me no good to leave them on while I sleep because I roll around too much and I end up accidentally moving the "button" off the pressure point.

Good luck.

ETA: I did have to take them off more frequently for a time because they were making my wrists hurt and feel brused after leaving them on so long.

Sea bands really work for me. I used them w/first and now second pregnancy. I'm 32 wks and am wearing them right now! At this point I only need them every couple of days. But in the beginning I wore them all the time and only took them off for showers. When my wrists felt sore I'd take them off for a while to give myself a break, but put them on again as soon as I could b/c I could feel the nausea coming back again.

Wear them all the time except showers. They might stretch if you wear them wet, I guess.

They didn't work in my HG pregnancies but they did work when I had just regular morning sickness.I did take a while to get used to the pinch since I usually don't wear bracelets, I get claustrophobic.

I wore them during the day (all day) except for showering/washing dishes, but I took them off at night.

I don't know whether they worked, but it seems like they did, so, hey, yay placebo effect.

They aren't working for me. Poo. Plus, they leave me a bit bruised and feeling like my hands aren't getting good circulation!

I have heard that having them on and then taking them off for the same amount of time increases effectiveness.
