Scared for the first time - Page 2

I've been induced three times (dd1, dd2, dd3) and then dd4 was born at exactly 41 weeks. I had had some BHs and some prodromal labor, but it wasn't doing anything (I made the mistake of asking to be checked on my 40 week 'due date' and was at 0 cm). I felt like nothing was ever going to happen... and I was especially frustrated because there was plenty of sex being bad (yes, dh appreciated 'helping'), EPO vaginally every stinkin night, and I was taking some Gentle Birth Formula (along with some pills that were basically the same thing)... and still... nothing was happening!! Oh, and we were walking MILES a day! Finally at 40w6d, we were walking and I felt some leakage... eventually started getting some bloody show... and the next day dd4 (sweet Hazel Jane) was born!

My first three dds were induced and none of them resulted in cesareans, thankfully. And I was not dilated at *all* with any of them. ... and they were actually quite swift labors... so yeah, inductions *can* have happy endings too. (and with dd3, I had no other interventions like pain meds or anything.. it was a beautiful, natural-ish, drug-free birth!).

UPDATE-

I am a mother to a beautiful baby boy born via c-section after having 2 days of pro dromal labor, then 1 day of pitocin and epi which led to c-section. My 72 hr labor could not have ended any other way - baby had cord wrapped twice along his body, was posterior, and baby and me reacted to pitocin such badly that the smallest doze of .1 couldn't still be administered successfully. In 20 yrs of experience hospital staff had never seen such sensitivity. Again and again, we let natural contractions carry me, but they never productive enough. My birth went everything I didn't want and yet at EVERY single intervention, the doc, nurses, doula....everyone gave me 100% support to let nature take its course. I chose every step , no one forced me.
Breast feeding is going great - I breast fed him within an hr of surgery, after baby was taken to nursery because he couldn't breath. We are both happy and recovering now and I am proud of his birth
