Please advise! My daughter smells like Maple Syrup

I know this may sound weird but my husband & I have noticed for the last 3 days my daughters skin has smelled like maple syrup. The only thing that has changed in the past few days is I started her Nordic Naturals Omega 3's gummies. Her urine output may have decreased some but that is hard to say how much. I took her to the ped today they did urine and blood but nothing so far.
I have heard of Maple Sugar urine disease but as of right the tests show nothing.
Does anyone have any insight????

are you drinking nursing tea or taking fenugreek? those make the maple-y smell...

I think I may have heard a friend talking about maple syrup urine disease before...have you looked into that?

My DD's urine kind of smells like maple syrup when she gets a bit dehydrated. We freaked the first time because I googled it and came up with maple syrup urine disease, but that wasn't the problem.

The only other thing I know of is fenugreek making you smell like that.

Uncontrolled diabetes can also cause a maple syrup smell. Have you had her blood sugar checked?
