I mostly went because I was concerned about her slow weight gain when I made the appt but he dismissed it but mentioned the F word: formula top up and then said to "kick my son off" when I told him I tandem nurse. So with all that, I don't think I'll do anymore wbv unless I have concerns.
I do take mine for the visits to get the weights and we do vax so to get those as well. At Marissa's 2 month one, I mentioned while bf right after a shot that this works well every time to help soothe them. She told me that she nursed her son for 2.5 years! So yay, someone who does not totally think I am nuts for nursing my kids for 4.5 years each or tandem nursing (not now, but with the first two I did). The ped too has been pretty supportive of long term nursing, and at my other DD's well child visit when she was 3, I mentioned she was still rear facing in her carseat at the time, and said that yes, that is the current recommendation. No pressure to start solids early or supplement formula either.
