Where can I find phenoxyethanol-free body/hair products?

I am allergic to phenoxyethanol. I'm allergic to a lot of things, actually, and was hoping that I could repair my body by switching to cleaner products, but they all contain phenoxyethanol! I just checked all the products available to me locally, and then found a lot of sites online that also list this as an ingedient.

How do you find truly natural products? I'm assuming since it's an anti-bacterial ingredient, it's going to be used in just about every lotion, shampoo and cream available.

How do I even go about making my own stuff?

I personally am IN LOVE with these products. And I'm an esthetician.

Thank you!

It's funny to see the shampoo is $18....meanwhile "Yes to Carrots" was $15.99 at my Target and something-giavanni or other was $12. Not that much of a price difference.

Of course if someone knows where you can get good stuff for $5 I'll take it.

I know! But I've found it's worth the money if you love the product and use it all rather than jumping around trying different things all the time. Their caffeine eye cream is so yummy and lovely. I highly recommend it.

For bar soap and liquid soap for hand-washing, I've been happy with Dr. Bronner's, would that work for you?

I'm just about to try no-poo, it uses dilute baking soda and vinegar (in two separate steps) to wash hair. I can't vouch for it yet, it seems like it takes a bit of tweaking to get the concentration of baking soda and vinegar right for your own hair, but apparently it works for quite a few people.

If you want real shampoo and conditioner, maybe check out Aubrey Organics? I've purchased them a few times, but I didn't check for the ingredient you're asking about.

I'm a Bronner's girl too.
