I have been struggling with self diagnosed depression in the last months. I have turned to a dietician who works with a biomedical approach. Most of her practice is with children with Autism. Anyway, I approached her as I want to do tests to figure out what is going on with my health - to help stabilise my mood and also in preparation for TTC (there is a chance I have conceived an unplanned pregnancy this month).

So, she has recommended various tests and I would like some input on an order of priority for them. I cannot afford to do them all right now. I do not live in the US and I will have to courier them internationally.

The list:

Stool yeast ($61) or Comprehensive Parasitology x3 ($230)

Urine: Organic acid test ($195)

Red Blood Cell elements test ($230)

The tests I am going to do through my HMO are:
Ferritin,
Total iron,
25-OH Vitamin D,
TSH,
T3,
T4,
anti-thyroglobulin,
anti-thyroid peroxidase,
Vitamin B12,
Quantitative Amino acids panel,
zinc plasma and cop

I don't have to pay for the tests through my HMO, but I would like thoughts on the tests I will be sending to the US.

Many thanks
