DS woke every 1-2 hours until 12/13 months. Then for the last two months he has only been waking 2-3 times a night (this for us is heaven). The last week however has been horrendous again. I haven't looked at a clock or counted (can't bear to!) but it's not good. DS no longer nurses but he wants to be cuddled right up to me (this is new with the increased wakings) and if I so much as sigh he's awake again.
Now, he's teething in a big way - all 12 remaining coming through at once. Ibuprofen works one night and then not the next and he's totally fine in the day. So is it teething causing the increased wakings or are we going through another regression? His first 8 teeth all came in at once too and that heralded the beginning of his first sleep regression lasting 7 months.
Please, dear sleep gods, do not let this happen again! I'm happy with 2-3 wakings when others would be appalled. I start back at work in May something I put off because i knew I couldn't do it on the sleep I was getting.
Any thoughts? Do you think it's just teething (please tell a white lie if not
)

In our house its always teething! Although he only has two teeth and only slept poorly the night before each popped out. But yes- it is teething!! Especially 12 at once? That is huge and must be bothersome when he is lying down. Hopefully it will pass soon.
