Bioidentical Thyroid and problems

Okay so here is my issue: I have recently switched from a synthetic Levoxyl thyroid replacement to a bioidentical (pig) thyroid replacement. I was having several issues that led to this decision. At first I thought the choice was a good one.... the 'fog' lifted so to speak and I had more energy etc...

But now that I am 6 months out I realize that I have had lots of headaches - several migrianes and terrible digestive issues that all started right around the same time that I switched thyroid meds.

Has anyone else experieced problems like this? Or could these be 2 unrelated issues?

I switched a couple years ago and didn't notice any hdaches so it must be from something else.

You could be allergic/sensitive to pig products...so yeah, it could be a problem for you, even if it's not a problem for other people. Could you switch back and see if your headaches/migraines go away?

I'm wondering if you could go back on the synthetic Levoxyl (T4), plus also do something like Cytomel, a synthetic form of T3. The T3 is the main difference between armour thyroid and synthetic thyroid hormone. I take both Synthroid (T4) and Cytomel (T3) and it works great for me.
