I was just thinking as I was staring at a flaming positve OPK...
I know you are supposed to O 12-36 hours after a + OPK. Yesterday the lines were the same color and today the test line is much darker. (so today's is "more" positive)

Anyhoo, would I count from the "same color" positive or the blaring "darker test line" positive?


Dumb question I know, but it's been a looooooong cycle and I'm bored.

both! and i would guess you o somewhere around 36 hours from the first one, 12 from the second one, or something like that.

I can't use them to positively predict O since I have a history of getting + ones and not Oing, but once I get a +, i take them every few hours until they go back to - and hope for a temp rise. you can see my chart that I had 2 rounds of +s, but when I conceived my son, I had 2 days of +s and got my crosshairs on the third day. Just keep getting busy I guess and wait for the temp rise.

finnegansmom Weird, same here. My chart is in my homepage.
I actually took out the previous 2 +OPK's because then it said I Oed on cd17. They were just before the big dips on my chart.

The difference seems to be though that other signs like CP don't match up when I get the first surges. It stays low and closed. Also the surge will only last for a few hours. I will for example get a + at 11am, but then it will be neg again by evening. I also get EWCM just before as well.

When I get the final surge, everything correlates. HSO cervix, EWCM, O pains, and the OPK stays + for two days.

This is what has happened to me the past two cycles. I think I'm on cd 38 now and I'm pretty sure I Oed today.

I hope this was just a temporary thing. These long cycles are killing my resolve.
Interestingly I recently had a mc too, I wonder if it is just our cycles trying to figure it all out.

I think maybe today is O day. I swore off of BD for this cycle. Now I'm going to O even later?! Come on man..can't I catch a break? Now I'm going to go to the zoo with a bunch of moms who were all pregnant the same time as I was last year. Only they have their babies with them.
Does that sound bitter enough?

With my second round of + OPKs this cycle, they were MUCH MUCH darker. Like very IN YOUR FACE. Also more EWCM, much more. I buy OPKs by the bushel so I have no problem taking 12 of them a day when they are +. I'm going to check your chart again but I think you already Od, right? I stalked it this morning.
I'm nursing and had a 12 week loss end of jan/early feb (end up with a D&E, ugh). but weirdly, my first cycle post MC was more normal than this one... how weird, I Od earlier that cycle and missed my O window altogether because I didn't start taking the OPKs until after I Od, although I never got + EWCM....
My body is so unpredictable now that I'm older, when I was young and fresh with perfect 28 day cycles, I was busy working and travelling and dating hoodlums. Uggggggggggh such a waste.

I thought I Oed yesterday, but there is still lots of eggwhite. If I put in high temps for the next few days, it gives me an O date of today. My temp didn't go up much at all this morning. I would much prefer to have already Oed. I'm tired of the preliminary obsessing.

Do you think I Oed already?

Now FF says yesterday...Grrf. Well that's good. Would I still have so much EWCM if I Oed yesterday?
Oh man I thought after a year and a half of this crap, I'd be over this part of it.

I would give it another day of temps, but I hope you are keeping busy in the boudiour.
It was 10 days or something from my first OPK to when I got crosshairs, my husband was hiding from me at the end of that....and it's exhausting to be seductive when your whole wardrobe consists of yoga pants and nursing bras. Yikes.

My EWCM dried up by the day I got my last + OPK, it was positive in the morning and very negative when I went to bed with already creamy CM. I would expect your temp to go up in the next day or two.

My poor DH is so tired lately when he gets home. I hate to even bring it up at this point. Worst part is a week after I finally O he gets all lovely again once I leave him alone for a week.

I suppose I should, no sense wasting what would be a frickin' 43 or so day cycle.
