Weirdest thing your pet does?? - Page 2

My cat gets high on olive juice the same way other cats get high on catnip. I discovered this years ago when I accidentally spilled some olive juice on the floor. My cat was nearby, comes over to investigate and proceeds to flop down in the juice and roll around. To my amazement, she did this for about 5 minutes. I finally picked her and moved her. She spent the next hour sniffing herself where she'd gotten the juice on her fur, yet refusing to clean it off. My roommate and I ended up having to bathe her to get it off. To this day, every time I open a jar of olives she is immediately doing figure 8s around my legs and meowing incessantly.

My Beagle is very special. He was a rescue and we got him when he was 2. He was completely terrified of everyone, us included. Eventually he warmed up to me and then later on to my husband. Now he loves a select group completely and doesn't run from most everyone else. The shelter did believe that he was abused. He has one funny thing that I think stems from the abuse. Whenever he gets too excited or someone pays attention to him for more than 3-4 minutes, he runs over to a couch and starts furiously digging. If you continue to engage him in any way he will just dig faster and harder. It could be 5-10 minutes before he stops. If his legs get tired he will rest one and slow dig with the other for about 30 seconds and then switch. It's the funniest thing

My cats have some pretty funny, yet strange habits. They're sister cats, Charlotte and Chloe (Char just woke up and turned around to glare at me, like she knows I'm telling the world about her quirks!).

Chloe is generally normal. She's almost always quiet, though she's gotten to be more vocal recently.
Charlotte is a total nut. I've been undergoing cancer treatment, so I spend a lot of time in bed. When I'm not feeling well, both of the cats will come snuggle with me: Charlotte just above my head, on my pillow, and Chloe curled by my feet. They usually sleep like this at night too. In the past two weeks, Char has started waking me up in the middle of the night by licking my head incessantly! My hair is really short and her tongue is scratchy and it's just so bizarre to wake up all dazed and confused with a cat licking my head.
She also stole this little stuffed beany frog that used to sit on top of my fiance's computer monitor. She'll start this really frantic, pathetic, whiney meow and run all over until she finds her frog. Then she'll carry him around the house in her mouth, still meowing until finally, she brings him and drops him near where I am laying. Or I'll hear her while I'm in the shower and when I come back to the bedroom, the frog will be on my pillow. Sometimes, she'll start tossing the frog in the air and then attacking him as he falls....It's super funny to watch. She has never done that when my fiance is home, only when I'm home. I had to take a video with my cellphone for him to believe me.

Also, one of them stole a sock I kicked off in the middle of the night and dropped it in their water bowl.

My turtle, Gamera, gets super excited about earthworms and it makes me giggle to see the look of glee on his little face when we toss a worm to him.

our 1 year old shitzu is under the impression that he is NOT a dog.
he enjoys sleeping tucked behind my knees when i'm on the couch or in bed.
my dh one night decided to move the dog to his very comfortable pillow bed on the floor.
clearly disgusted by this lack of respect our dog left the room peed in my husbands shoes, jumped back onto the bed and let out a little growl for good measure.
needless to say dh has been sufficiently scolded and won't do that again.

These have me cracking up!!!

I have 2 dogs (and 3 cats, but they are pretty boring) Our Shih Tzu howls. So if I make a certain sound she will start howling, with then starts the Redbone howling. They will howl back & forth for 15 minutes!! It cracks us up.

The Shih Tzu always scoots. Always. Even though we keep up on keeping her glands clean. (gag)

One cat cannot meow, one cat cannot fit through the kitty door but never ever gives up trying.

My dog likes to cache his snacks in odd places. Then when you turn on the TV he runs, finds a piece of broccoli or bacon or something and settles down to watch TV and eat.

These are hilarious!

I always put chap stick on before bed and my dog was curious about it one time so I let him lick the remnants off of my finger. Now it's routine, he waits for me to put on my chap stick and patiently waits for me to offer my finger and he licks of his. I forgot to give him my finger one night and he jumped onto my face licking me all over as if to say "how could you forget my chap stick!?"

One of my cats (Owen) will meow loudly at the kids when they are in the shower. He gets so upset, its like he's yelling at them, "Thats WATER! Get out! Get out!" This same cat steals my youngest dd's socks out of her drawer and drops them in the hallway, or brings them downstairs to the living room or leaves them on the stairs. Lately he's been pulling out leggings, shorts and undershirts too. Not sure why. He's an interesting kitty, thats for sure!

My 75lb dog is scared of my 7lb cat. Abbey (the kitty) will lay in Peggy's (the puppy) huge bed. Peggy will want to lay down and look at her and whine. Abbey will roll over and get up...then lay back down. She's so mean to her! Peggy will just look at her and whine and whimper and then go and lay on the floor next to the bed.

My third cat has a serious addiction to all things string like. We have everything locked up (including headphones!) b/c he just loves to chew and chew. He chews on the curtains to make stringy's! He also steals cupcakes. But only if they are vanilla. Go figure.

Leah, my australian kelpie, had a traumatic experience with some neighbor kids, and is now terrified of children. That's not the funny part, just backstory. Anyway, she is scared of used kid clothes and especially shoes. Adult stuff, she's fine, just kid stuff freaks her out.
