My cat gets high on olive juice the same way other cats get high on catnip. I discovered this years ago when I accidentally spilled some olive juice on the floor. My cat was nearby, comes over to investigate and proceeds to flop down in the juice and roll around. To my amazement, she did this for about 5 minutes. I finally picked her and moved her. She spent the next hour sniffing herself where she'd gotten the juice on her fur, yet refusing to clean it off. My roommate and I ended up having to bathe her to get it off. To this day, every time I open a jar of olives she is immediately doing figure 8s around my legs and meowing incessantly.

He has one funny thing that I think stems from the abuse. Whenever he gets too excited or someone pays attention to him for more than 3-4 minutes, he runs over to a couch and starts furiously digging. If you continue to engage him in any way he will just dig faster and harder. It could be 5-10 minutes before he stops. If his legs get tired he will rest one and slow dig with the other for about 30 seconds and then switch. It's the funniest thing

This same cat steals my youngest dd's socks out of her drawer and drops them in the hallway, or brings them downstairs to the living room or leaves them on the stairs. Lately he's been pulling out leggings, shorts and undershirts too. Not sure why. He's an interesting kitty, thats for sure!
