Good Morning Mamas
I miss being here. It's continued to be a whirlwind of a time with being displaced from our home and other unexpected things like getting a new job and losing it 3 days before it began. It's been a time of hunkering down and coping, frankly. Luckily for me, these times also bring great appreciation for what I do have in my life, great family and community-just to mention a couple important ones. It looks like we might be able to move back into our home this weekend Which of course is Beltane, and also incidentally my birthday I love my birthday. I'm getting my hair cut and colored today which is a big treat, so things are turning around.

kittywitty-I usually do TM's during the Aries new moon, but this year it just could not happen. I'm doing one anyway-hopefully tomorrow for my b-day. I can't imagine anything but good could come from spending some time with myself to focus on what I really want-any time of the year.

I hope my life settles enough to be around a little more. I'm thinking of all of you wise women ~~~~Blessed Be~~~!

Not the grim! The flicker and feeling passed, not sure what was up with it... physically I'm sure it was leaves or dirt or shadow, but to consistantly interpret it is the same way/as the same shape puts it into the "message" category.

manifestation- Go for it! I think moonly maps and holy day maps and birthday maps all make perfect sense. And may be even better than the big treasure map in terms of keeping the energy fresh and the intent at the top of your mind. (boo hiss for the bike theft and breakagge though )

weather/holy day- well, we had 2 days of snow but today is sunny/70s and tomorrow should be too. We planted two cherry trees, two apple trees, and 6 raspberry canes last night but it really doesn't feel like spring. Or any specific season actually. Snow and 70s in the same week? It's just a jumble. I wanted to host a may pole celebration tomorrow, but the yard is a mess, the fire pit buried in construction debris, and the house is still not "additioned" so there is no interior space. Maybe I'll ask dh if we could focus on out of doors tomorrow, maybe move the firepit (it's too close to the addition) and trim back the underbrush? That way we could at least have a fire and the debris would be gone. Hmmmm... and maybe a small may pole using one of our older trees?

zombies- does anyone remember the zombie research earlier this year? An epidemiological study that used "zombie-ism" as the disease. It was a serious paper/study but done in a lighthearted manner. There is also a book that is a collection of research (serious/lighthearted) on the undead... zombies, vampires, etc. It was a fun collection!

dr. who- the Empty Child/Doctor Dances was one of the highest rated episodes on the fearsome foursome review site (love these kids and the minute by minute parental review) so I am not alone in my "lights on" response. Of all the episodes to watch alone in a big dark house! At least it wasn't Blink.

Thanks for that link. I do know that it could be a cervical spine problem but it could also be a problem in the spine a little below that. I get paid in the spine below that area and ends between my shoulder blades.

What he told me was this: "If it's not a problem with the cervical spine/nerve, then the pain can be from the rotator cuff injury or you have arthritis in the spine."

I asked him if arthritis would show up on the MRI and he said yes. I went on to give even more details of where the pain originates and I guess I just assumed he'd want to get a bigger picture.

Just chatted with my mom who shared what they used to celebrate in school (mayday baskets, dancing around the maypole, and even a pagent) I informed her about the history and she was like "COOL! - who knew, we just liked the candy & dancing!"


In other news - the job I applied for has been taken down, and I have not heard a peep about it. I emailed the hiring manager to touch base, but I am pretty sure I didn't get it.

We under a tornado watch now until 8pm so I'm having fun watching the awesome power of the wind, but nervous if things get nasty.

Thanks my dear I've been briefly brushing up on the appriopriate safety measures for tornadoes... since coming back from the PNW. I had earthquakes down pat, but forgot my training for the twisters.

TM movement- I was just gifted with SIX girlie chickens of a good egg laying breed (don't remember if she said Golden Comet or Golden Americuana?). Just ready to move into a coop, they were purchased to round out a flock but then one of the flock hens hatched out a dozen new chicks. So these guys were a bit over the top and in need of a new home. I guess I'll add "building a coop" to this weekend's to-do list! DD1 has watched these chicks since hatching, so she already feels a certain pride of ownership... she was beside herself when I said they'd join our homestead next week.

Okay, here's my updates, since I doubt I'll have much time to do so in the next several weeks.

Tomorrow I'm going to the city to hang with friends and do the Beltaine thing. Monday, I'm staying home to do last minute cleaning/organizing. Tuesday, I go in for my c-sec. I'm DEMANDING that I get to hold the baby immediately, so hopefully it won't be so emotionally icky this time. But I'm accepting much energy for going into labor before Tuesday.

After that, I'll be in maternity recovery for my six weeks.

aubergine~ yes, they're very communicative. i used to have 13, so.....
fame bagua... not sure about moons or months (do you have that link from camp? i can dig it up, i think, if you dont), but i'd go with solar plexus for sure. when i have situations like that, i wear some rose quartz at my sp and it helps. also that oil i got has helped with it a lot.

yeah for chickens!

we use to do the maypole dance at school back in oregon. and the kids and i would make may baskets for the neighbor back in tucson.

i think i should have added stable mama emotions to my tm! lol i am just not good with not sleeping one night a week and then listening to NPR on my way home. i was so mad when i got home i thought i might explode. lol

dh is sick again. i wanna pull my hair out. in the 18 months we have lived in maine he has been sick almost 15 times. it lasts about 5-10 days each time. UGH!

the little boys and i put the maypole together. so excited! we are going to celebrate on ds#4 birthday.
tomorrow we are all going to NH to stawbery banke ( http://www.strawberybanke.org/ ) it is the opening day for the summer season. AND before we go i am going to the farmer's market which is back on the farm again (in the winter it is inside). we are suppose to have nice lovely warm weather! WHOOPIE!

Wow. That is a lot. Is it allergies maybe?

I'm so tired. I was going to junk out on popcorn and movie and ice cream, since DS is at an overnight with a friend, but I think I'll just go to bed and read myself to sleep.
I dipped to 178.4lbs this morning so I think I don't want to jeopardize that any more than I already have, what with all the pizza I ate today. Granted most of it was homemade, but still.

179 point something, this morning. Two days in a row under 180. It's so precarious! I want it to stay this way. My goal right now is to stay under 180. Then on to 177. Then I'll worry about lower.
