So in the past I have made a homemade spermicide. It has lemon juice, glycerin, water, cornstarch, and salt in it. I like that it is all natural, etc. The problem is that it sort of seems to "melt" at roughly 98.6* F, and makes for a slippery, liquidy mess when I have to re-position the diaphragm.

I've never used conventional spermicide, so I am wondering if that stuff, too, becomes less gel/paste like? Or should I be concerned about the efficacy of my homemad spermicide?
