2ww/tww - 2 week wait (after ovulating and waiting for af or pregnancy)
af - aunt flo (your period)
ai - artificial insemination
afm - as for me
bbt - basal body temperature or basal body thermometer
bd - baby dance
beta - blood pregnancy test, come in quantitative (gives you a #) or qualitative (yes/no)
bfn - bald-faced negative/big fat negative
bfp - big fat positive
cd - cycle day, usually followed by a number, cd1 first day you get your period
cl - coverline, when charting, the temp you need to be over to indicate ovulation
cm - cervical mucous
co - cervical opening
cp - cervical position
crosshairs - lines on your chart. Vertical/ovulation day, horizontal/temp coverline.
Dpo - days past ovulation
dt – dollar tree test (home pregnancy test)
dtd - doing the deed
e2 - estrogen
ecm or ewcm – egg white cervical mucous (the most fertile kind)
edd - estimated due date
endo - endometriosis, can sometimes cause infertility
epo - evening primrose oil
gio - get it on
fam - fertility awareness method
ff - fertility friend
fmu - first morning urine
frer - first response early result (pregnancy test)
hh9 or h&h9 - healthy and happy nine months
hpt - home pregnancy test
hsg – hysterosalpingogram (a test for diagnosing tubal infertility)
iui - intrauterine insemination
ivf - in vitro fertilization
kha - keep(ing) hope alive
lmp - last menstrual period
lp - luteal phase
m/c - miscarriage
o - ovulation
opk - ovulation predictor kit
p4 - progesterone
pcos - polycystic ovaries (often causes infertility)
poas - pee on a stick
pp - post partum
ppaf - post-partum aunt flo
re - reproductive endocrinologist
sticky vibes - vibes for a pregnancy to "stick" (carry to term)
tcoyf - taking charge of your fertility
tmi - too much information
tom - time of the month
tta - trying to avoid
ttc - trying to conceive

12 DPO and imagining a lot of pg symptoms as usual. I did have some faint positives but one of them was on a blue dye +/- test (thanks for shopping, DH! ) so I'm not putting any stock in that yet. We're on our way back home from visiting my parents so I'll be able to test for real soon. Cautiously optimistic but I've been here before several times in the last year or so.....

mclisa - It really just depends on the person. It could be a couple of days or it could be much longer. I know that's not very helpful. Just try to be sure to have sex when you have fertile CM!

emski - I'm in NC too! I live in Johnston County right now, but we're hoping to move before too long. We're seriously considering moving to Durham.

I'm in the 2ww period. I am not incredibly hopeful about this cycle, tho. DH threw his back out on our last attempt and o came two days late. I had a day with weird discharge that could have been implantation bleeding, but I'm not sure. I didn't have that when I got pregnant with my son. I've also had a bit of cramping, but I had that last month and there was no BFP to show for it, so I've stopped being so hopeful about early cramping. We're using the Shettles method to conceive our little girl, so I know I'm in for the long haul, but it's already been 10 months, and I ready to be knocked up already!

Here inLlimbo Land. Thanks for the new thread! 14dpo, bfn, no af. I actually still have no symptoms at all. i guess it's possible I got all the signs, geared up, but never o'd?
On a positive note I made an appt with an acupuncturist for Monday. I am so very excited. I spoke with the woman for over 1/2 hour today and we really clicked. So, while I might not get pg from it, in the long run I will be in a better place. Because right now I am not in a good place. Kind of a self-consuming place really. So I'm going to do something about my overall wellness.

Happy April everyone!

Hi All,

I only posted once or twice to the March thread but read them all... was very busy at work and at home (getting ready for a bid b-day party for DH's 40th last Saturday). Now that I'm 5dpo I'm glad to have more computer time to wait this out with others in the same boat

My worry about this cycle is only BDing once... due to really bad timing on lots of fronts (including the big party!). I chart only on paper, but from what I know I O'd on the 28th (two +OPKS & temp increase on 29th) but didn't bd until late on 29th. Will this still be ok for a possible bfp this month? Or if we missed it altogether maybe that news I should know now... before I obsess some more

Andrea- I thought it was weird that you were 5dpo and were expecting OPKs.....but I figured it was just some TTC strategy that I didn't understand.

MrsHin- How did the party go?? Glad you can come wait and obsess with us!

I adjusted my FF chart because I started spotting a few days before I'd reflected it on my chart...and I think the first 1-2 days of AF were sort of ignored because I was in denial. So, I'm now advertising myself as being on CD 7. This new set-up also puts my EDD at 1/1 if we have success this month. Yep...it's the little things.....

Also, if anyone sees anyone on the list who is....um....pregnant, can you let me know? I don't want anyone to come back to find that they're kicked off the list, but I'd like to trim the fat a bit. What do y'all think? I may stalk some people's posts tonight at work to see if they're still around.
