Mollie - did they talk about progesterone supplementation since your level wasn't as high as they wanted?

afm...I don't know what to think. I did test twice a day on Saturday and Sunday with the OPK's. Sunday looked darker than Saturday, but none were darker than the control line. Today it looked like I had some nice mucus. DH and I were busy around midnight Saturday into Sunday. I tried to wake him up this morning, but he isn't a morning person so that was a big no. This morning's OPK was lighter than Sunday's. So there. I don't temp because I have to get up with my oldest at 2am so I wouldn't get enough sleep time in. I will just wait it out for now and try to attack my husband tonight. If this month doesn't pan out then I will get my thyroid levels checked to see if they need an adjustment.

I just looked on the calendar and if we did get pg this weekend then the weekend to test would be when we are having a birthday party for my April daughters. I'm not sure I could keep my mouth shut if I knew. Hmmmm.
He didn't say anything about supplementing w/ the progesterone. Maybe that's part of the meds he's thinking about adding? Not sure; we'll see what happens this month.

Sounds like you have timed BDing well; it's possible you missed the surge since it can be there & gone within hours. for you!!

Q'Bear - Congratulations! What an awesome Easter Bunny you have! What's your EDD?

Mollie - I'm sorry about the progesterone number. I'm glad your doctor is going to make some suggestions for you next time. Hopefully it will just be a matter of supplementing your progesterone though.

mclisa - I agree with Mollie that you may have just missed your surge. I had the same thing last month, where I had a dark OPK and then they got lighter. The dark one wasn't technically positive, but I counted it as positive on my chart b/c I figured I had missed the surge.

Bunzie -Yay for O, even if the conditions at MILs made it impossible for you guys to BD. O day is still really good timing! Commence the 2ww, huh?

mommytoall - Have fun at your acupuncture appt! I hope you enjoy it and it helps you to feel more relaxed. I really love my appts!

milosmomma - It sounds like you have a lot of deflection to do while family is visiting. Hopefully it's making the TTC more exciting though!

April - Welcome! I hope your birth-name month ends up being your BFP month too!

AFM - I'm on CD10 now, so still waiting to O. I've started OPKs and I'm hoping I'll catch my surge this time.

We had a good trip to visit the ILs. We spent a lot of time visiting other family members, so we weren't all stuck in the house together the whole time. My ILs are nice people, but they can drive a person batty after awhile. DH especially seems to get frustrated there, so we keep our trips short and busy.

FIL kept asking leading questions about when we're going to have another baby, and I just played dumb whenever he asked (he'd say things to me about how much I enjoy spending time with my niece and then ask "wouldn't you love to have a sister like her for Nate?") I wish I could tell him to back off because I am sure that we want it way more than he does!

Mollie, I just have friends that have been on it so that's why I asked.

You are doing acupuncture too? I would be interested in comparing our experience if you're up to it. My lady seems great. I agree with so much of what she said with nutrition and energy. I am just stuck on the fact she wants me to avoid ttc for 3 months. She wants my eggs up to optimal health. I mean I get what she is saying, but I'm not sure I can do that! Was it the same for you?

No, I wasn't asked to avoid TTC for 3 months. We are working on my LP and spotting issues, though, so it might be different depending on what needs to be fixed. Last cycle I did have a longer LP and less spotting, so I already feel like it has helped.

I'm not sure I could avoid TTC for 3 months either. I don't think I would be able to do that, unless I was given a really strong argument about why it was necessary.

Hi girls....can I join you?

I am 37 and we have just begun "trying" for #2. Our wonderful son was a surprise for us....so we had done nothing special to conceive....this time around I am take prenatals, vitex and B Complex. My cycles tend to run long (I am on day 41 right now). We only made the choice last week so timing was off for this cycle....but I wish cd1 would come so I can get down to some serious business

Welcome Pat!!!! I've added you to the list!

Congrats Qbear! I don't know you, but I can just imagine how you feel!

Thanks for all the welcoming messages! I was on babyfit when I got pg with our first, and it was so nice having that community around me. I'm way more crunchy now than I was back then though, so I'm looking forward to just soaking it all in. Here's to many more bfp's!

Welcome, Pat!

April - I know what you mean about enjoying having a community to share with TTC and pregnancy. I am the same way. I'm kind of a message board addict. I mostly just post here and on The Bump now, but I used to spend a lot of time on the TCOYF boards before they changed their format. I often wonder how my mom TTC and raised 3 kids without having internet friends to chat with!

Callie: I am the same way. I feel almost addicted to forums at times.
When I was preg with DS I joined Nov 06 on Pregnancy.org...I was on there multiple times a day and most of us still check in daily and have become Facebook friends and do do birthday and Christmas exchanges. The thing with being on FB I am not announcing to the world that we are TTC so here I am trying to find another forum that gave me that "home" feeling. I am on several sites feeling out the group. lol. I am sure if I am blessed with a 2nd child I will find a birth board easily enough....but right now is when I want to read some encouraging stories and spill my guts on what is going on right now.

Pat- I'm the same way. I'm keeping my TTC quiet....so I'm here I've never really been public about TTC, so I've never really posted on any TTC boards. This time, because it's almost certainly our last time, I decided that I'd really like to have a group to support and obsess with.

can I join? I was here before, got pregnant in December with #3 and had a m/c. So we're trying again!

We weren't going to try this cycle but we figured what the heck. So I'm waiting to know, I think. my 1st post m/c cycle was really long, so hopefully this one is normal.

my husband's solution to not knowing when I'll O is to just DTD every day from last week until I either get a BFP or AF. Silly guy!

lonegirl and milosmom-We're also keeping TTC sort of quiet. I'd rather not have people asking if we're preggo all the time. So it's nice to be able to share it with others.

Lindsey8- Well, I'm sorry that you're back... but, um, welcome back, I guess? Funny about your DP...such GUY reasoning!

I realized today that if I'm pregnant, I'm going to find out when my dad is here....but my mom's not. Sort of weird, I'm not sure how I'll handle that. Hmmm....

People have been asking us for over a year when the next one is coming. It's actually really annoying. I really feel for people who have trouble getting pregnant. My af took a long time to come since I am still bf'ing, and I know that is partly to blame for not being pg, but I also just wasn't ready for 2 really young ones!

But I'm ready now!!! And I will obsess and pour my secrets out to you ladies who I barely know lol!

Yes! This is really annoying! Its taking longer for us than expected and we have everyone from MIL to complete strangers asking when the next one is coming. Grrrr!

I'm so sorry about your M/C. Hopefully your stay is short here, in a good way .

I've gotten that comment too, and it's like a stab in the heart. Only 1 of my IRL friends know we're TTC, and needing meds to try. My AF never came back after my last pregnancy, and she nursed til over the age of 2. I always thought I'd get it back like I did with the others around 11 mos. PP, and then get PG again around 13-14 mos., like the others, but nope . Waited & wasted almost 3 years before I found a Dr. that took my symptoms seriously.

The mantra of TTC message boards!

Nothing to report here....DS was awake and in our bed all night, so we didn't get any pre-O practice.
Well ladies, I finished taking soy yesterday, and today I'm having EWCM & got a +OPK. This would be highly unusual to O this early! I hope we can BD tonight! Or, it could just be my body gearing up to O. I have read that some people get days of +OPK's before actually Oing, so we'll see!

Hi everyone, I'm not quite ready to join you, (I'm waiting until July to ttc #3) but I'm getting ready. I'm a 37 year old mom of 2 girls, ages 8 and 5. Both were premature, one at 36 weeks and the other at 33. I've recently asked my OB for a referral to a perinatologist to talk about risk factors and treatment options for a third pregnancy.

I have some questions for you all, especially if you're ttc #3 or more or if you're ttc what you know will be a high-risk pregnancy.

Are you preparing yourself in any different way than you did previously (supplements other than prenatal vitams/Omega 3's, etc?)

Are you reading any different pregnancy books than you did before or do you figure it is all old hat at this point? I was looking at a book about pregnancy over 35, but even that one seemed geared towards first timers.

Does anyone know of any pregnancy books that address issues of high risk pregnancy without horrible doom-and-gloom "do everything your doctor says, you little dummy" style of writing?

Thanks and I look forward to joining you all for real soon!
