It might. It is supposed to be only in the general area, to avoid any side effects, but it is a very small possibility.

After I had DD (a vaginal delivery) DTD hurt like the devil! It was seriously like being a virgin agian because it felt like something tearing each time he did entered. You would have thought the baby streached everything out, but I think the hormones from breastfeeding and the dry spell after delivery are actually to blame.

What worked for us was using a lot of lube combined slow streaching of the vagina (w/fingers) (sorry if TMI) before actual sex. That helped make it less painful, although I still found it not super enjoyable until my DD started solids at around 8 months of age. We tried a ton of different lubes because most of them get sticky really fast. We were not using condoms, so we didn't have to worry about that. The one that we found that actually worked was pjur original bodyglide. I think we had to go to an "adult" store to buy it as none of the ones from the grocery/drugstore were doing the trick.
