Possible to dye wraps?

I'm thinking of getting a few Motherease Airflow or Riki wraps but I'm not a big fan of the prints they've got. If I got a few white ones could I dye them easily? Has anyone done this? Any tips/hints/pictures? TIA

Polyester doesn't take dye. Ever dye a t-shirt and everything but the thread takes the color? That's because the thread is a poly thread. Too bad... it would be fun to dye up your own covers!

I bought some Bummis off of a mama on Diaperswappers that had been "painted" solid - she said with Tulip fabric paint. They had been used and washed a bunch of times and held up well. Some of them look a little bit mottled, but I like it. I don't know if there's any reason not to do that? They felt a little bit more stiff than normal. My babe's not here for another 3ish months so I haven't actually used them yet.

what about Kool Aid as a dye. I've seen it works with Nylon and wool covers, so maybe google if it works on polyester?

most of the cover will not take the dye unless it is a natural fiber. some of the thread and other random parts may get dyed though, giving it at least a little more of an interesting look.
