AFM - I saw three wild turkeys today!! It was totally random and I had never seen them before. I just stopped my car and watched them walk for a couple of minutes. They were freaking huge and I was enthralled.

How cool! I've never seen turkeys up close before so I would have been amazed too. It reminds me of the time I was stuck in morning traffic and looked over to a wooded area next to the freeway to see a family of deer in the snow. It was so beautiful and I felt instantly at peace (for a few brief moments, anyway)!

Welcome JTC!!!!!!
Nubian--I love it. I used to see wild turkeys all the time when I lived in New England, but I didn't know they had them in California!

Adorkable--Boy that sounds promising! That's great to know your DH has super sperm. Yay for massive O-ing! I forget--is this your second cycle of IUI? Last summer DH and I were on a trip when we first started TTC and we joked that we might have to name our kid "Nebraska"--maybe it's just as well we didn't conceive then.

AFM--Uh, I had unprotected sex what I thought was 3 days past O. Then FF moved my O date so it looks like we actually DTD one day past O. I know it's such a slim chance--totaly unlikely--but I keep thinking what if I'm one of those whose eggs don't disintigrate for over 24 hours? What if I O'd at the very end of the day? Honestly, I know there's no real reason to hope, but that's not stopping me--somebody talk me down!

Newbian - I'm glad we're TWW buddies, too! I'm going to try to hold out testing until May 12th. That's the day before AF is due, and it's also my mom's birthday. It might be lucky!

novanic - Good luck catching that surge! That's probably the most stressful part of my cycle. I'm sure your timing will be excellent.

rmiriam - I know what you mean about other people's kids making you a little more patient with your childless life. Our two nephews are terrors! I just keep telling myself (and DP) that not all kids behave that way.

Welcome JTC! It's good to have you with us. Hopefully this board will bring you a little luck this cycle!

Adorkable - It sounds like your timing was excellent. I really hope this is your cycle. You deserve a happy ending!

Blanca - Sorry, but I'm unable to talk you down. I'm all about getting my hopes up!!! Sure, I know it makes for a bigger letdown should things not turn out the way I want, but that doesn't stop me. I can't control myself!

jtc77 - Welcome to the group!

•Adorkable• - Sounds like you had a great trip and a great IUI Welcome to the 2ww! Come on in, the water's fine

Jenne - How's the weather out there? Has the rain stopped. I need to check your blog 'cause I know you're good at updating

novanic - Isn't it amazing to see "nature" in our urban/suburban area? I don't know where these turkeys came from but they looked well-fed!

Blanca78 - Ooooh, I remember unprotected sex! Lol! Don't worry about FF. It's moved my O date back and forth over the same two days more than a few times. And there's always a reason to hope, I can't talk you down either! Maybe the wild turkeys were a sign for you

AmandaMom - May 12th sounds quite auspicious for you. It's also the day FF says I should test although I may wait until that weekend. Of course if you test, I'll want to as well

AFM - 7DPO, it's been exactly a week since my second insem. Test date is May 12th, 15 days DPO.

I'm new, but this seems like a great forum. I've had a good time tonight reading the thread. I'm on the infertility forum too -- serious MF infertility. TTC since early 2009, found out about the MF problems last summer and went through clomid and a bunch more testing without any change. DH finally bit the bullet and agreed to use a donor two months ago. I'm 32, and I *think* I don't have any fertility problems. Counting my blessings there. First IUIs last month -- BFN. This month we are trying 100mg clomid with hcg trigger and two more IUIs. Had my u/s this afternoon (CD10), have 4 hovering at 15, so it's back for another u/s on Thursday. I'm about an hour away from the clinic, so that's lots of fun. Plenty of time on the drive to obsess about cycles and waiting. Hopefully back Friday and Saturday for the IUIs. DH is a nurse, and he's working those days, so I'll be going it alone. Good luck to everyone else this month, fingers crossed for me. If no luck this month, we'll have to wait to July when my new med spending acct takes effect -- no insurance for fertility. Boo!

Welcome Prof.Alex! Best of luck for this cycle--that would suck to wait until July. Crossing everything I have for you. I'm glad you found us.

Thanks Blanca, doing well overall, just feeling a bit unprepared but hopefully we'll get there by July.

Thanks for stopping back in! I saw three turkeys too and since you're pg, maybe it was a sign I'm in CA too.
