If you had a 100 bucks that you had to spend on baby gear right now... - Page 2

Wool yarn.... I am in the midst of a soaker/crafting addiction right now.

I did do some major splurging with my tax return already. Babyhawk, matching amber necklaces for DS & I, summer clothes for DS, a stroller, a family zoo membership....

I'm going to go with a mei tai/ergo. I just got my mei tai last week, and have used it with my 6 mo, and it's excellent! I was able to scrub the garage floor where something spilled with him on my back last weekend, and by the time I was done he was sound asleep.

But, I'm also exploring baby containment options right now for times when the mei tai is not an option, so that's something else to keep in mind. It really depends on what you have already.

Ergo all the way. They run just over $100. But I already have one so I think I would go for a lightweight stroller that is easy to take on Public Trans. Day trips in San Francisco with only the Ergo are killing me.

I love my wraps but if I picked 1 thing that would be useful for someone to give us it would be the jumper/exersaucer thing we just got. She loves it! We don't put her in it for long and it's great.

I also would buy a carrier (though not necessarily an Ergo... there are a lot of nice SSCs (soft structured carriers) in the ~$100 range or slightly more).

If not that, maybe a jumperoo. We got one for my son when he was about 4 months old (not the doorway kind), and he really liked/likes it (he's 8.5 months now). The weight limit is 25 lbs, I think. We got this one:

A decent stroller with a high weight limit might be another good choice. Good luck and have fun choosing!

Another vote for an ergo or carseat if you think your LO will outgrow theirs soon.

Well... after another walk carrying DS while pushing a stroller, I think I'm going to float the idea of the ergo-- and if that doesn't appeal to them, we'll try for a high chair.

The initially mentioned getting a walker, but I don't think I'll let DS use one.

another vote for an Ergo. I love mine!

Hmmm...I'd go get the Every day 6 pack of gdiapers and some liner refills.

Use kiwibaby10 at checkout for 10% off.

Or...

I'd get a nice baby carrier
Adorable clothes that I wouldn't get otherwise due to price
A shopping car liner
Car accessories for the carseat

check out mamabargains.com or babysteals.com, or onestepahead for ideas on what to buy, when you don't need to, but you'd love to anyway...

Definitely an awesome baby carrier that I would never afford myself.

I would get an Ergo.

Another vote for the Ergo. Mine was a hand-me-down, but now that I've used it for a few weeks I'd definitely say it's worth the money. DS is already 19 lbs, and I can take hour-long walks without getting sore.
