So few people really understand how much energy is required to keep up your supply, or start it in my case, care for a toddler and travel 20 miles each way to the hospital. It was exhausting!!
So I am ready to jump off a cliff...
I went to the doc to get my staples removed on Monday and I had an allergic reaction to them. The whole incision was so swollen, pussing...completely disgusting. I just assumed it was itchy from healing - wrong. I do have to say that I
Bio Oil which seems to have really taken care of the reaction and helped the healing, also made my stretch marks that showed up the last week of my pregnancy way less red. Regardless, now my incision is so painful and still swollen, even though it is healing a lot better.
I definitely have mastitis too. My temp hit 102.5 last night and I had to take a double dose of extra stength Tylenol to get it below 101. It is FINALLY gone (the temperature) but my breasts are killing me, especially the right one.
Anderson decided at 4 am he would decide to be awake and cry if I put him down. This kid NEVER cries so I felt bad and stayed up and held him. Eventually he burped the hugest, hardest burp ever, sighed, smiled, his eyes rolled back and he drifted to sleep. I took that as my cue to do the same and we slept together in the arm chair - I forgot how much I missed snuggling a baby
Marty then promptly woke up at about 6 (we fell asleep around 5) whining at the top of his lungs "Daddy, Me get up?" over and over and over - think broken record skipping. DH was in the shower and couldn't hear him. I finally yelled up to get out of bed. He came 1/2 way down the stairs when DH got out of the shower and I told Marty to go back upstairs and brush his teeth - cue meltdown. Seriously? I know there will be moments when he has fits for no reason because he's adjusting, but starting our day like that was definitely on the wrong foot!!
I just want my breasts to feel better...they are SO sore. I had cracking/bleeding with Marty and I don't have that this time (this kid is part vacuum cleaner
) but the mastitis is killing me. I've been doing grapefruit seed extract and slept under an electric blanket last night to try and sweat it out. The fever being gone is definitely a step in the right direction, but the swollen/hard/bruised feeling is really uncomfortable. Any suggestions??
to you all
