Possible Triplets?

Had an early u/s, they saw 3 sacs, but only 1 had a baby in it. I go back in 2.5 weeks, sure seems like a long wait!!! Please cross your fingers for me that there is only 1, as this is baby #3 and I think I will be less than happy if I am having #3, 4 and 5. I am 8 weeks, so I assume if there were 3 they would have seen 3 babies, BUT the u/s tech told me sommetimes they dont! Ugh....

That's a lot of information to take in at once! I hope you can find some peace while you're waiting to find out what's really going on in there.

Well, I can imagine that would be quite the shock! I hope you find peace in whatever the future holds.

wow.yikes.. i would be scared!

that said, my midwife and friend has triplet girls. she found out at 20 something weeks and they were born like a month later, very early..i believe that were in NICU for a long time, but are healthy and thriving kids now..and though it was a massive shock (no fertility meds used and first pregnancy) they got over it.

DDCC With this pregnancy it started off with triplets, I had IVF and we put 2 embryos in, at 6 weeks we saw two good sacs and one disolving already.

I hope you get the answers you want~!

oh wow!! Hope everything turns out great, even if it is babyx3!

that is a lot to take in. I had a dream early in this pregnancy that it was triplets. I completely understand your fear that would be really hard for DH and I to deal with too. We have no intention of having 4 kids. Hopefully there is just one baby in there. Got my fingers crossed for you.

I wish it was an April Fool's Joke! lol. I cant believe I have to wait so long, it is killing me... I think maybe the long wait will help me to find some clarity and maybe understand a little better that what is meant to be will be. We have had no fertility treatments and there are no twins or triplets anywhere in our family...Sometimes these things happen

Oh my, that is a long wait to find out for sure! My fingers are crossed that you can find peace while you're waiting, and that you don't have a massive surprise!

Wow! Triplets with no fertility treatment is amazing. I hope you get the answer you want at your next ultrasound.

I can't possibly fathom having to wait 2.5 weeks to find out!

I have a good friend who thought she had had a miscarriage due to all the bleeding she was having. She went in for the u/s to see if they needed to do anything more, and the u/s tech said, "Oh wow! You still have a baby in here--look, a heartbeat!" Then there was a pause, "Oh look, there's another baby!" Finally, "Look a third heartbeat!!!"

Identical triplets for her---talk about a phone call to give her husband! In the end, it obviously worked out great and they now have three adorable little girls.

Good luck!
