Is this normal development?

My son is just shy of 3 months old. I've been noticing that he has more control over the right side of his body than the left. When he's on his belly, his right arm goes into place under his chest and he holds himself up, but I usually have to move his left arm into place. When I'm holding him up in a standing position, he tries to walk and moves his right leg forward, then puts it down, then moves it forward again, all while his left leg doesn't move.

I assume this is normal development and that he's right handed and just hasn't mastered being completely coordinated yet, but I just thought I'd ask if this is normal.

Not to confuse you, he -does- move both his arms, hands, legs, and feet, it just seems like the right side is more developed than the left, like he has more control over it, and he's more aware of his right side.

I think it's pretty normal. V is 3.5 months old, and, while she rolls over, she only rolls to the left right now, from back or from tummy. I'm pretty sure she's right-handed, which would account for that- being slightly stronger on the right.

I haven't noticed her weightbearing unequally, but my gut says your LO is probably doing fine. If he continues to develop asymmetrically, I'd probably mention it to his ped.
