Hi there, my DS1 is just over 3yrs old and DS2 is 7 nearly 8 months old. We were at playgroup yesterday and one of the little girls who comes regularly had the sniffles that were presumed/diagnosed/whatever as 'allergies'. Apparently, incorrectly
. I just got a call this morning/afternoon to call-back the leader of the playgroup, and I Just got around to it... turns out she has/had RSV (turned blue last night and was rushed to the ER!!!).
Personally, *I'm* not too terribly worried. DS2 is more-or-less EBF and DS1 is 3 and still eats fairly decent. The one and only thing that worries me is that its easter weekend and we have plans to go down to columbus to see DH's family on saturday, and up to canton to see my family tomorrow (mostly elderly/adults, I don't *THINK* there will be any other kids/babies there, but not 100% - one cousin I know does have a baby/toddler who I think is ~1yr now...). DH's sister has a 5 month old baby, and his grandpa has heart problems, and I worry that if we are infected we could pass it on to them and have *THEM* have problems... so, WWYD??
What should I watch for? I just googled RSV and apparently the incubation period is anywhere from 2-8 days, which is quite a range... Both my boys seem fine as of now, but its only been 34 or so odd hours since we were exposed...
