Favorite Jammies for 9 month old?

What are your favorite jammies for your baby?

DD is 9 months old and I no longer want to put her in one piece footed jammies. She just out grows they way too fast. I'd like to get her some tight fitting two piece jammies. I've looked at Gap and Old Navy but have a hard time wanting to pay that much for jammies.

So, what do you guys like?

I like union suits. Basicly cotton one piece jammies with no feet. You can get them in a bigger size and they can wear them longer than footies.

I like to shop on ebay for the two piece Old Navy or Gap jammies. Or even Hanna Anderssen. Nothing like the Hanna quality. Even secondhand!

I was going to suggest Hanna Anderssen as well, we have a few union suits from them and wash after wash they still look great!

Another vote for Hanna Anderssen. I like the two-piece ones. They are pricey, but worth it IMO. We have some that still look brand new after 8 years and 4 kids.

I'm not sure what kind of cotton Hanna uses but its easily 4-5 times thicker than the cheapie Old Navy and Gap jammies. I guess each one has its place. Like thin jammies are better for summer, but yeah for Hanna!

Have you looked at The Children's Place? I have only bought the feety style from there, but I believe they have 2 piece sets as well. They are thinner than Hanna and they also held up pretty well. My DD is still in the 3-6 month size and she has been wearing them since 3 months. Lots of washes. The color faded a bit, but the fabric just gets better. We are always looking for thin PJs as well, our LO is a hot head.

I love Old Navy pjs. We got a number of pairs as hand-me-downs for winter and now that the warmer weather has arrived I have to figure out where to find some without paying full price. My daughter just outgrows them way too fast. She's 8 months old and wears anywhere from 24 months to 3T (depending on the clothing manufacturer).

I'm planning to hit the thrift stores and if I can't find any I might just go with some second hand t-shirts and soft shorts.

I remember when my son was little I got a few pairs of pjs from The Children's Place and loved them. I was able to get them on sale so if you have time to sale watch you might catch a good one.

I have been just doing tshirts or onesies on Madi who is 9 mo, mainly because I can't get her to sit still long enough to do all those stupid snaps. I HATE SNAPS!! Her legs are bare but she sleeps with us and between my body heat and the blankets, she still gets sweaty some nights.

I like old navy... DS has some one-piece Old Navy PJs that are short-sleeved and footless, and all snaps - sometimes pulling clothes over his head before bedtime just sends him through the roof!

If you get on Old Navy/Gap's mailing list, they often send out sale promos. I just got a bunch of sale stuff at 30% off.

We hate snaps over here too, DH can't even figure them out if DD is calm!! It is difficult to find zippers though.

I scour second hand stores (and kids consignment sales) for old navy, babygap, gymboree and Hanna andersson PJ's - I like them all actually and now that ds is a year old we're doing more separates for PJ's and on really warm nights I've just been putting him in a lap tee and a diaper

Go head to your local Old Navy asap. I got some of that last few clearance sizes in the jammies that currently fit my DD. $5 a piece..

I haven't looked at The Children's Place, but I will now.

Thanks everyone!

I like hanna pjs but the ones we got at xmas are already worn out. the snap is torn and zipper is tearing away from the fabric. the cheapie one from other stores have held up much better

I get promos ALL the time!! We just ordered some stuff & I saved a bunch with all the discounts. They have sales a lot too.

We do like ON PJs. We also like Carters that (I believe) were bought at Kohl's. I think they have decent prices there. 2 pieces are winners here, too. No more snaps!! Whoever decided to put snaps on an item of clothing meant to be worn by a tired baby was either not a parent, or very mean!

I like snuggabye's convert-a-foot jammies because the ankles stay down when you don't use the ends for their feet and they're cheap!

thanks for suggesting the children's place. I went there yesterday to exchange something MIL sent and checked out the pjs. DS is 7 mo and in their 12mo size. they're a lot more affordable than the HA (not organic but that's ok with me, they are not treated with fire retardant) at 3 for $25. they have feet but I prefer that since ds's toes are always icicles and he tries to dig them into my belly button I hadn't been in TCP before and was happy with what I found

I like these too, we only have one but DD wears it all the time. She's a weird size - skinny and long-legged - so her toes end up squashed in the bottom of her footie jammies even when they fit everywhere else. The Snuggabye ones last longer and don't squish her feet when they start to get small.

Another vote for the Hanna Anderson rompers and jammies - though we'd never ever pay that much for baby clothes. I have a bunch of HA handmedowns and they have held up extraordinarily well. If you can find them used, I think they're marvelous. (And while you're there, check out the little HA aviator caps - DD wears them all the time, I think they're the cutest thing ever.)

Oh good, happy it worked out!

I have found the one piece HA jammies do not hold up like all the rest of the HA clothes. The regular 2 piece jammies wear like iron. My DS is in the 80 size which will last him next winter as well. All of our PJs are HA, they just last for so long that it is well worth buying them. DD1 had one pair that I washed 3 times a week for 3 years, and now DD2 is wearing them.

Just a quick note that our Costco here in Salem Oregon has HA pajamas, the one piece long sleeve with zippers for $12. : ) I know that every Costco is different, but just a heads up if anyone else wants to check it out at their local store!
