Are these herbs safe? (x-posting in Health and Healing)

I have a persistent cough which nothing seems to help. My husband found a "Cough-Off" herbal tea yesterday and a cup last night seemed to help for at least a few minutes. I'm thinking of drinking it a few times a day at work to take the edge off. Here are the ingredients:

platycodon root
loquat leaf
azalea leaf
licorice
scute
peppermint
jasmine flower

There are no individual quantities listed, though each bag is approx 1.5 grams net weight. The only potentially unsafe herb I've found so far is licorice, though I don't know that there would be enough in the tea to do any harm. I am very unfamiliar with the first two, in particular. And scute, what is that?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm not generally concerned about small quantities of things, but since I don't recognize a few of them, and since the tea is from China (), I'm a little concerned.

I would not take that if I was pregnant, it is probably fine but I am pretty cautious. One wouldn't want to take a lot of it.

I love that sort of thing when I am sick but when I am pregnant I make a tea from fresh ginger, lemon and honey...that might help.

Scute is from a root, it is good for inflammation.
