Do you buy handpainted/ handspun yarn?

I really prefer handcrafted yarn but it's so expensive!

I have been ordering from handpaintedyarns.com, but each time I order it's almost a month before it ships. But the prices are pretty good so I keep going back

Anybody know of a great place, ei beautiful and not too expensive, to buy handcrafted yarns?

I don't know what you'd call not too expensive, because all of it is out of my price range (I won't pay over $6/100g at this point, preferably $4). But there are a couple small shops in my city that offer it. There is knitpicks, about the same prices as your place: http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/Hand_...__L300105.html . You could always buy lots of undyed and dye it yourself, wool or silk are very easy to acid dye, just add vinegar and any pigment to a pot of water and yarn and slowly warm it up.
