Anyone else with LOs under the weather? It's not fun, for anyone involved!

We did go in to see his Ped Nurse though. He is 19 Ibs 2 oz, and 28 inches. What a tub It was a pretty funny visit, he almost answered her questions himself. She asked if he's been vocalizing and making sounds, and before I could say anything, he let out this long loud high-pitched screech!! And then did some loud babbling. She asked if he smiles at anyone, and right then he decides to reach his arms out to her and start laughing. While he was laying on his back on the exam table, she asked if he had good head control when he was on his tummy, and he chose that moment to roll over onto his tummy, and screech/laugh some more. (This is totally new, btw, he just started rolling back-to-tummy last week ) |
My girl is a little over 14 lbs and 25.5 inches long. She loves to stand (with me holding her up of course) and is working on sitting muscles. No rolling at all yet, except to the side some. She is a well-spring of joy; she laughs and smiles all day. It is very pleasant! Zi will be 5 months next week.

And at the Zoo yesterday, I did look for it. I was really hoping to see someone else NIP, I fed DS walking around the Zoo yesterday 3 times. Didnt see even one though. But saw many many mamas with bottles. DH pointed out that some of them could have been BM bottles, but it still made me sad not to see any nursing mamas out of the hundreds of mama/baby pairs out yesterday.
In hindsight it was something I should have tried at home first, I accidentally flashed a couple of people. Usually I just hold DS in my arms, cross my body horizontally. He had NO idea at first what we were doing, he has never nursed in a sitting up position before, then he kind of figured it out, but kept popping off and pushing on my breast, making a huge mess, so I gave up. I dont embarass easily, but I still would be moritfied if DS and I sprayed a stranger with milk
