setting seedlings out on nice days?

I need some guidelines for setting seedlings out on nice days. I live in CT, zone 6, I think. I thought it was too early to start hardening seeds off outside (a month and a half till last frost) but its been beautiful and thought it might help to bring them out here and there. How long can they stay out? What would be the ideal spot - partial shade? I know they'll be shocked going into direct sunlight. Anything else I should think about? Thanks!

Yeah, start in partial shade and start with an hour and then start moving them to more and more sun and for longer until you can set them out. The wind on them will definitely help them get stronger as well.
