Ok so I posted on this forum, under a post I am going insane a little while back. My daughter HAD A SEVERE case of eczema, picture can be sent on request. Please read my old post, we did everything testing, diets, food logs. The poor baby's growth was stunted, her teeth weren't coming in, she never had formed stools, we got rid of our dog, got a humidifer, organic cotton clothing, EVERYTHING. We even spent $4,000 on a Kagen water machine because we heard water could be the problem. If you think of something I promise you we DID it. Brain child vitamins, probiotics, everything and got NOWHERE. So we had already seen 2 chinese medicine doctors for my baby and hasn't really made any progress.

We live in California and I have battled Candida, and was refered to this place in Santa Monica. I went and this lady was Amazing and I just got such a good feeling about her. I showed her my babies pictures and she was just so sure she could fix her, "It's a digestive problem" she told me (duh) BUT that was why every food bothered her, it wasn't the foods, it was her little system. So we brought her in the next day, and the doctor showed up this massage to do to her to open up her channels (yeah I'm not big on those types of things but we were desperate), a chinese herb cream, and a powder to give to her twice a day.

She said since her case was so severe and since she's had it for 10 months, it may take about 3 months to get better. Babies heal the fastest she said, followed by men, and lastly women. BUT 12 hours later my baby was almost all clear!!!!!! And each day has gotten better and better, the 2nd day into it she didn't even look like she had eczema it was ALL gone. It's been a few weeks now and she is ALL CLEAR!!!!! Her skin is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo soft, and if you have a baby with eczema you know how horrible it is to feel their naked skin So rough.....Anyway not only is her rash gone, but she is sooooooooooo HAPPY! Having her is a breeze, the eczema made her this super high maintence GRUMPY baby, I was at my wits end. IT'S OVER!!

Sorry if there are alot of typos and this message seems poorly written, we have been so busy enjoying life and I have a happy baby wanting my attention. I've just been wating to write this in case any other babies can be helped, sh has healed so much eczema babies

Don't think if you tried chinese medicine alreay and it didn't work that it isn't for you. It's imperative to go to the right person. She was our 21st doctor and our 3rd chinese medicine doctor

Our acupuncturist sent us home with a derma-roller to use on Taslyn to open her channels. We use it when we remember to, and T really loves it. I feel like its made a huge impact on her histamine-salicylate reactions. I wish we'd found it earlier in the game... it very well could have done alot of good when we needed it most.

I remember your earlier posts - you sounded so desperate. So it is refreshing to hear good news from you. Would you say the eczema is gone or would you venture to guess that her allergies are gone too? Is she eating better now? More solids? Gaining weight?

I'd love to try this on ds but don't have the money at the moment to see another doc--and I'm all the way across the country in NYS anyway. Or would you possibly be able to describe what you do when you massage and open the channels?

I'd also be interested in learning what the cream and the powder are called, and what's in them if you have that info!

Yes we were desperate!! Eczema and allergies went hand in hand. Allergies are just the guts inability to process the food properly. That's why we could never figure out what to give her, it seemed like every food bothered her.

We never knew what to feed her, it seemed like something would be ok and then she would flare up even worse and we'd suspect that food. It was horrible.

She is now eating EVERYTHING!! I make her all the same healthy food my husband and I eat! Nuts, seeds, veggies, fruits, whole grains, it's amazing!

She is gaining weight, her poops look perfect, her teeth are all coming in, and like I said before..she's in a GREAT mood ALL the time. Just laughing, smiling, running around all the time. She used to be a nightmare, but now I just love being with her!

I don't know if my doctor changes the herbs, because she did mention making it taste better for babies. Also on the bottle it says tablets, but inside is a powder, so I don't know if she crushes it? I'll ask her at my next visit. Anyway it's by Guang Ci Tang their shen ling bai 2ho powder. She examines each child, so it she may give different medication for each though. I have no idea what is in the cream, all the famous actresses come to get it for an eye cream, it's their formula. It smells minty, the baby doesn't like the smell, but her skin is so soft!!

She actually specializes in womans fertility, but now everyone is bringing their eczema baby to her and she never expected that lo!

Yes, we're having this "chicken or egg" problem, too. The reaction is random. Food that she liked/tolerated the day before hurts her today. The rash will go away or come back seemingly on its own.

Thank-you!! That massage is with two fingers rubbing on the forearm (starting where the elbow is and down to the start of the hand, on the bone part) rubbing in a fast motion 50 times on each arm. Then do the same on the foreleg bone starting just from the knee to the start of the ankle 50 times each. The take your thumb and index or middles finger and rub the sides of the bone 20 times.

Then turn baby onto back and go up the spine on either side almost like your pinching the skin. Start from the bottom and work to the top doing both sides at the same time, you'll probably get 8, and then go to the bottom and start again. You want to grasp the skin with your thumb an index finger, and with ALL these rubs you want to make the skin red...not painful, but you're opening channels so you want it to be felt. You do the back 200 times .When you're done that gently rub the belly and back in a circular motion.

This sounds kind of like BioSet. It's what I'm looking into for my allergies. So glad this worked for you child!!!

I'm so happy that you found something that finally worked for you. Eczema is one of the hardest disorders to cure.

For those of you that have tried *everything*, please consider having severe, stubborn, non-responsive-to food-elmination type eczema SWABBED for bacteria. My 15 month old has been struggling with a very severe case of atopic dermatitis (eczema) since he was 3 months old. He lost 8 pounds on the elimination diet, his face started to swell and he had trouble breathing (and was put on albuterol). We spent a week at Mayo clinic and his eczema is infected with STAPH. this is almost EXACTLY the same acupressure massage we were taught. I only did it a couple times plus the herbal tea.

With chinese medicine, each case is treated based on that person. for example, 2 kids with eczema, one might have it due to something with x organs and another might have it for deficiences in y organ(s)

this is exactly my line of thought (and that of many people in alternative health.) The food is not generally the issue. The body's ability to process the food and manage stress is.

Where do you find a Chinese Dr that does this kind of healing? I did find someone that promised results but cost $60 a visit, and I am not even sure if this the promises are real. I guess it is a leap of faith.

$60 doesn't seem too bad, but only because I was paying $100+ to see the naturopath..

BUT, I've always had free consults with the TCM doc, except one I seen in Toronto who charged me $10.
And all the herbs/herbal pills were in the $7-10 range each

You can look under acupuncture in the phone book and you may find others or even ask around in the community.

Please show care in your definition of allergies. The above may be true for your child but for those with severe, anaphylactic food allergies, reactions happen long before the food enters the gut.
